London Kills (2019)
The wobbly phone is driving me mad
I'm not going to be able to watch this series if that damn phone doesn't stop it's wobbly ring. I'm going to have nightmares about it.
Doesn't anyone listen to the production value before calling it complete?
It's a good enough show for background, nothing too intense so far but honest-to-god the phone is driving me nuts. Its' fine for a phone to ring once and a while but it doesn't seem like there's anyone else in the office so it just rings in every office scene.
That's all I came to say but I have to continue typing until it says I have enough characters to submit a review. Finally made it!
The Paradise (2012)
Better than Selfridge's
I couldn't get into Mr. Selfridge but I enjoyed this show. It's a shame there are only two seasons. Why BBC, why??
A.P. Bio (2018)
Sure, it had promise but there's no way this deserves a 10* rating
I can't believe this is getting so many 10* reviews - these people need to get out more.
It had a promise at the beginning but the more you watch the more annoying, repetitive, uncreative and sad it is.
Also I'm irrationally ticked they're not learning any biology.
Entebbe (2018)
What were you thinking with all that dancing? This was supposed to be a terrorist / hostage negotiation movie.
And then when they went in to rescue the hostages, all we got were dance moves. What the actual were you thinking???
Detective McKay (2018)
A 2018 series that is still coming soon?
What is this?
Is anyone going to update this or is there no such show?
Trying to flag for the mods.
Emma Fielding Mysteries: Past Malice (2018)
Wow, this was really bad
We watched the first 15 minutes but we only skipped through the rest looking for locations since it was filmed here. The acting and writing were pretty terrible. I like a good mystery but this was just too lame to watch. It's too bad because I used to watch Courtney in Melrose Place.
Dark Places, Deadly Illusions (2021)
Dermot Mulroney is still fine 👌🏽
Dermot is literally the only redeeming quality about this movie. The rest is absolute nonsensical trash.
I was trying to figure out if it was a Harlequin Mystery or some such garbage. I kept sticking with it in case it actually went somewhere. How does almost two hours of this nonsense actually get put together, marketed, sold and put on Netflix? That's the most baffling part about the whole thing.
Goodnight, Sugar Babe: The Killing of Vera Jo Reigle (2013)
Abhorrent
How in the hell does this thing have anything more that 1 star. It is absolutely awful in every way.
When the narrator calls her "Punky's baby momma" I just couldn't anymore 😂 off it went.
I Care a Lot (2020)
Ha, good for a laugh
It's funny, I didn't think the movie was a comedy going into it but I guess it really is. I love a show that keeps you guessing throughout it and is not completely predictable. It was a fun ride and that's good enough for me.
Everyone who rated it 1 and 2* need to chill out, don't be so serious and have a little fun.
Virgin River (2019)
Season 2 lost me
I am not normally into these Harlequin Romance type shows but I didn't realize that was what it was when I first started watching Season 1. I liked the characters and was happy when they announced Season 2.
Is it me or is Hope's character less endearing and more annoying than Season 1? She and her ex (former ex?) kiss weird.
The on/off between the two main characters, Jack & Mel (had to look her name up) is tiring.
The constant whining of the pregnant lady is most annoying. Enough already. And it's a bit ridic that she would hang around this town so that the the new gf would be treating her.
The domestic abuse throuple is over-the-top.
Sadly, season 2 lost it's lustre and it's no longer the show I thought it was.
The only thing that hasn't changed for me is I love that it's filmed in and around Squamish & the LM.
Hillbilly Elegy (2020)
What the hell is this garbage??
There really needs to be a warning at the beginning of this show because of the amount of violent behaviour shown in it. Not to mention the abusive language. Holy crap, this is a Ron Howard movie? I'm stunned.
Stella (2012)
Couldn't get through the first episode
I tried but I couldn't get through the first episode. I didn't find any of the characters likeable. Maybe you have to be a local to appreciate it.
Million Dollar Beach House (2020)
A cheap knockoff of Selling Sunset
This is pretty bad. Do not waste your time.
None of the characters are memorable. They all seem pretty green (and bad) at real estate. They're very awkward around the homeowner and the potential buyers.
I think someone was trying to find an upscale East Coast market as a sister to Selling Sunset however, they failed hard. Why not try the Miami market? It must be banging and very similar to LA.
The Durrells: Episode #3.7 (2018)
Quote
I love the show, its writing and acting now I want to live in that abandoned house in Corfu.
This quote made me 😅
Lawrence to Police Constable (and brother) Leslie, "Tell your colleagues that sexuality is a buffet not a set menu."
Keeping Faith (2017)
Yawnfest
Couldn't get through the first episode. Snoozer. How is this show rated so highly?
Fargo: Palindrome (2015)
What a snooze fest!
The season 2 finale was such a snooze fest! Boring as all hell. Kirstin Dunst character was the most annoying it had been all season.
I really would have liked to see how Mike worked out in his new job 😅
The Crown (2016)
Season 3 is a huge disappointment
Claire Foy was absolutely on point as the Queen in Season 1 and 2. Why mess with that? They totally could have altered her appearance to age her. I love HBC but I don't see her as Princess Margaret.... This season is so dreadfully slow and lacking in any momentum.
What a disappointment
The Grinder (2015)
Where's the rest?
I'm watching The Grinder on Netflix and it all of a sudden ended. It didn't continue to the next episode or the next season. That was it. I couldn't believe that's all Netflix had.
Then I came to IMDB to check it out, to see how many seasons there are to look forward to when Netflix loads the rest.
And then it hit me, there's only a total of 22. I mean, can this be real? Why did they only make 22? Was Rob Lowe needed for bigger and better things?
I am so disappoint.
It was truly funny and I laughed my way through every episode. I know it was corny but it was a WELL DONE corny. I don't watch many sitcoms so I was pleasantly surprised when I found this.
I'm so sad so what can I go on to watch now to give me a laugh?
Mindhunter: Episode #2.2 (2019)
All the background noise in the jail interviews
All the background noise in the jail interviews in season 2 is super annoying and unnecessary!
I Own Britain's Best Home (2008)
Horrendous editting
The editting in this show is absolutely horrendous. They dragged this sucker out so painfully. We skipped so much of the repetitiveness and still were annoyed by all the repetition. I'm not surprised this show wasn't renewed. The premise was good but execution was a fail.
The World's Most Extraordinary Homes (2017)
Is Carolyn high on something?
She is SO ANNOYING and over the top on this show. I used to like her on Whose Line is it Anyway. I like Piers but Carolyn is really overbearing. She really ruins the show....want to mute her parts. It's too bad, I'm not sure what's gotten into her. She was great on Renovation Home.
The Ranch (2016)
Laugh track, UGH
Was kind of looking forward to this, in a nostalgic sort of way (country music, country folk, countryside)....but then the laugh track kicked in and I was OUT
Bruno (2000)
mom missing from cover
This movie was disturbing, not because of the subject matter but because of the way it was handled. The extremely overweight mother (Angela) did not even make it on the cover of the video case when most of the rest of the cast did. This is not fair but is a statement in itself. I also notice her picture is missing from IMDb (maybe her own choice) and it looks like this is her only film ever? The language in this movie was crude beyond necessity. Watched with my 10yr old son because it was rated PG in Canada and the language coming out of their mouths was shameful & disgusting. Never did appreciate Shirley Maclain like so many others seem to.
LOVE Kathy Bates and always will. Sinese's part was annoying.
The little boy Alex is a great little actor. I'll have to see what else he's been up to lately..
