Mindcage (2022)
How do they get away with this?!
This is a rip off of 'The Silence of the Lambs', pure and simple.
I have no idea how a film maker can be so blatant in stealing someone else's idea.
The acting is good, even the script isn't bad, but at each turn the scenes lifted from Silence, music riffing off Red Dragon and Hannibal, are actually grating.
I've seen worse films, and yet very few more difficult to watch because it feels like the audience is participating in this theft of another's work. It's a shame, because had the writer chosen to come up with ideas of their own to move the plot along, it might have been a half decent thriller.
Paradise City (2022)
Dialled In
Very rarely does a cast of this calibre dial it in so badly. Why did they agree to make this pile of crap? Terrible plot, terrible script, awful acting. It is painful to watch this movie and a complete waste of time and effort.
I can't actually believe this got beyond the script stage never mind get made, edited (?) and released. Something went wrong somewhere along the line and all the actual acting was removed. The actors speak all the lines with no emotion or feeling leaving it impossible to care about anything or anyone on screen. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. And does not deserved the number of characters I have to write to submit this review!
The Midas Touch (2020)
Did everyone see a different film?
This might have been acceptable when Benny Hill was popular, but nowadays it's borderline offensive. I have no idea how it's got the rating it has. I love a low budget indie as much as anyone but this is just rubbish!
Little Joe (2019)
unwatchable because of the sound
The sound in this movie is deliberately annoying, to the point that every time a certain piece of music plays, you either mute it, or let your ears bleed. It's a shame, because if not for that it would be a good film.
Delirium (2018)
Truly Terrible
There is nothing to like about this movie. Bad actors running around a house shouting. That's all this is. How it scored 3.4 I have no idea.
