HyperNormalisation (2016)
I actually enjoyed every minute of it that i was going to give it 9/10
Tecnically, editing, soundtracks, movie references and using old vhs tapes is brilliant.
BUT that's not the point the more i think about this documentary the more problem i have with it
it's so arrogant and manipulative and i wanna say even gasligting
Adam Curtis manipulates events and draws lines to connect some maybe irrelavant events to eachother in his favour
Although it is a doc about oversimplifiying complicated; but Curtis does this and simplifies facts becouse he is trying to feed you something. He won't tell you about dictators and how they get there and why.
For example Iran: they kicked out the Shah and put Khomeini on the chair they made everyone believe it as a revolution, made a new version of Islam aka english islam specificaly shia)
...a way to heaven if you kill enemy you are going to heaven and if you get killed you also going to heaven; who wouldn't want this!? A win win deal? Massive brainwashing.
They made this belief very bold, created a very dangerous as Curtis says "unstoppable human weapon".
For me it's crystal clear becouse this doc was published on BBC. I'm not expecting Britain specificly BBC attemp to enlighten the mass.
To be fair every now and then there is a fresh fact out there but over all i wouldn't call it as informative but entertaining.
Dersu Uzala (1975)
Dersu Uzala
Dersu and Kapitan lost in nowhere collecting grass in a blizzard in order to make a shelter, get through the night.
That's friendship. That's cinema.
Close-Up Long Shot (1996)
Kiarostami used Sabzian and threw him out
Sabzian had enough passion, knowledge and insight to be in movies.he had everything but money. He loved movies even more than Toto in Cinema Paradiso.
He sacrificed his life for cinema.
Kiarostami won many awards, reputation and money but after, he completely forget about the person who was the only reason for that specific movie(and what comes with); He easily could just help or pay Sabzian the person who obviously is poor and needs support.

Vampire's Kiss (1988)
Craziness
It would have been crapy movie if someone except Nic Cage played Peter Loew its all about acting
Color Out of Space (2019)
beautiful
Beauty and horror at the same time in a film, you don't usually see these two together.
Color out of Space has lots of Nicolas Cage craziness and freakouts; poweful and stunning visuals.
Hereditary (2018)
better than Midsommar
I liked it more than Midsommar ,wasn't boring as that. it feel more like a horror movie but different and new style changing atmosphere between was cool and sorta new thing no horror movie makers wouldn't do such things 'couse of course it is risky.
I loved minimal set designing and beautiful visuals
The Square (2017)
palm d'or winner
This is a post modern art film that tries to talk about almost everything
morals, rich and poor, racism, modern arts and criticise them
Un prophète (2009)
alteration
How can you change a innocent (perhaps) person to a dangerous gangster
how to wake asleep violence and brutality?
I think this movie is about Darwin's theory.
when César force Malik to kill Reyeb, Malik should choose.
at first he tries to tell the situation to warden
but soon he figures out warden is with César so Malik chose his life over Reyeb's. that was the begining of alteration

Doctor Sleep (2019)
boring
Doctor sleep not got almost anything to do with The shining 1980, it was a fantasy, entertaining and supernatural film when The shining is a psychological horror.this movie wasn't loyal to the original one
The Equalizer 2 (2018)
not spoiler
Only good thing in this film was Denzel Washington's acting except that, the film was totaly crap I hated directing, I couldn't figure it out director making a horror movie or an action.
film's background music was not in accordance with the film like everything in this movie.
I hated most cinematography and the camera man's job and I wish Denzel wouldn't play at equalizer 3
#equalizer #denzelwashington
The Shape of Water (2017)
