The Walking Dead: Diverged (2021)
What the hell
Man, if I would like to watch 40 minutes of someone keeping up with her obligations I would watch a record of me cooking. What the hell is even this episode? The second last episode of the season and it has a lame pace. I really don't understand where the hell this episode came from. It looks like it was a whim from someone and they decided to make it happen. If they're going to keep the show like this, end it up already 1/10.
The Blue Planet (2001)
Amazing, but it isn't 9/10
These series are amazing. The first chapters show you things that you wouldn't see in all your lifetime, unless you are multi millionaire and bought capsule to go below 1000 metres in water.
They show you ways of life that you can't even believe, animals that evolved mechanisms of defence that keep you amazed. But -and here comes the critic- it gets repetitive. In the last three chapters, they lack of innovation and all feel the same.
So, it's an amazing documentary to see, and worth seeing. But not the best, and certainly not 9/10
Hotaru no haka (1988)
Crude and awesome
This movie won't make you feel good. No. It'll make you feel like trash, and that's ok.
It's a masterpiece. In 1988, with all the difficulties that the animation had in that time, they achieve to make you feel like in 1945, suffering along these young people.
I was angry, and felt impotent all along the movie, but it was only a couple hours later that I appreciated the tremendous movie that I've watched.
Would absolutely recommend for all the people that loves people, that loves caring for others and that loves history.
It's a reminder that wars should end immediately.
10/10
Anazâ: Makeup (2012)
Amazing episode
The entire episode I was with the hearth in my throat. The way the things keep going on and the scary touch of every character is amazing
Lost (2004)
Started amazing, turned horrible
Ok, so at the beginning of this show I was amazed, I thought that it was some masterpiece and couldn't stop watching it. In the firsts seasons, you are going to be in this island. It's like a portal with that destination. You will think of everything that you would do if you were there.
However, as long as it goes, the series get very tiring and repetitive, and even depressing. We don't see good things happening and we get frustrated a lot. I see that as a negative thing, as the viewers deserve to have something positive happening once in a while for maintaining the audience.
They introduce some future flashbacks, that literally spoil everything of the series! You get to see how everything ended and I think that you don't have any reason to watch it from there.
They ruined a very good plot.
Too long, too little sense, too boring 2/10
Lost: The Shape of Things to Come (2008)
Lost its sense
The show don't have sense anymore, the characters make decisions that don't have any sense. It's just lame.
Lost: The Constant (2008)
Just WOW
Just WOW. This chapter has everything that the series needed at this moment. Gave me all the joy in the world. It deserves being one of the most valuable episodes in the history of TV series. Amazing 10/10
Lost: Do No Harm (2005)
Outstanding episode
In this episode I went through a lot of emotions in barely ten minutes. Absolutely rollercoaster between crying and smiling and laughing. Outstanding
Rurôni Kenshin: Meiji kenkaku romantan - Tsuioku-hen (1999)
Amazing
Amazing artwork, amazing OST, amazing overall anime.
The backstory of our beloved Kenshin was described along the original series, but we never knew that it was so dark. I can't even describe how much I loved this mini-series, and it makes me love Kenshin even more.
This entire series were some of the best anime I've seen in my short life. Thank you
10/10
Rurôni Kenshin: Meiji kenkaku romantan (1996)
This anime is really a masterpiece
This anime has everything to be one of the best animes in the entire world. An amazing plot (and even based in the history of Japan), an incredible OST, and excellence in art work despite being made in 97', that transports you to the magic of Japan's 19th century.
The plot revolves into very interesting subjects that keep being controversial in the contemporary society. Amazing how they could reflect XIX century's Japan's problems into our times.
Character developing really takes a good part of the excellency of this anime. You get to the ending of it loving all of them, and wanting that it last forever. It is all very heart warming.
You can also learn a lot of history watching this, as they make it interesting and it has a good base.
The battles and the technics of the characters does not need to be artificial to make you feel impressed. Using only sword styles that existed all along Japan history, they'd managed to make every battle a masterpiece.
Even the comedy is a genuine gem on this one, making you truly laugh.
It's a must watch for all people loving this genre, no matter how old or young they are.
Twin Peaks (1990)
Lame, wasted time
This series are so boring, so cliché and so slow that I really don't know why does it has 8.8/10. My guess is that it had that score in the 90s and no one more watched it until now. I can't think of one recent series that are worst than this. I am really disappointed.
Would not recommend, would not even speak of it. 1/10
Rurôni Kenshin: Meiji kenkaku romantan: A Duel with an Extreme Moment (1997)
Amazing episode
This episode touches a lot of subjects that still happen in today's world. Really makes you think about the society and how the people treat the weak ones amongst them. Amazing
La casa de papel (2017)
They are using the corpse of the first seasons
Seasons one and two are ok. Good character developing and good plot. The even deserve an 7-8 if you ask me.
But the continuation is a joke to all the viewers. Lame plot, lame character developing and disastrous storytelling. The voice-over from Tokyo is really annoying, and they try to make her a strong and brave character out of nowhere. She is obviously not that person. All along the series she showed what she is, a girl who only likes to have fun and not so much more.
Some of the characters are incoherent as they have fears of pity things but they can assault a bank with no problem.
Also, the entire series make an obviously apology to theft, showing it like "justified" and something good. A lame "anti-system" ideology in a millionaire Netflix series, the hypocrisy describes itself.
The season 3 and 4 are like a corpse with no soul, made only for making money, even the acting declined here. Things don't make sense, and the plot looks like it isn't thought anymore.
Some of the worst series that I've watched 1/10
Saint Seiya: Soul of Gold (2015)
Amazing series
Really liked them, short and very good. The entire plot is amazing, gold saints in action and fighting together as never before; and the pace is just excellent, you never bore.
The character developing is very good too, and the new character, Lyfia, is sweet and hearth warming.
I even think that it is better then the Saint Seiya's original series or even the lost canvas. Would recommend and love it 9/10
Seinto Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiô Shinwa (2009)
Not finished
The anime is not finished due to cancellation. It has a really good plot, animation, OST, characters and art work; but it all went away when they didn't finish the anime
Seinto Seiya: Meiô Hâdesu jûnikyû-hen (2002)
The best way to continue this anime
I enjoyed it a lot, and I mean it. Watched all of saint seiya (1986-1989) and it always seemed boring to me. I review it here with 6/10, but this Hades Chapter really deserves a 9.
It is really good to watch the saints with this amazing quality. The animation was on point and it was all that this story deserved. The 3D effect sometimes doesn't fit, but it isn't really important here.
The plot is really good, and we finally can watch the gold saints in action together with the loved bronze saints ones. We face a lot of emotions here, totally different from the 86' anime, that always had these childish emotions and poor plot.
The OST is really one of the strongest points in this anime, mainly because the older anime hadn't a good one. It does really matter if we are talking about emotions.
Amazing, nearly perfect 9/10
Saint Seiya (1986)
Pioneers of all anime
These series are one of the pioneers of the history of anime, and we should judge it by that. The meaning of this anime in the 86' was tremendous, but it is merely anecdotal. Saint Seiya is the foundation stone of all the good animes in the 90's.
On the other hand, the series are a bit childish and sometimes poor directed. A lot of scenes were terribly repeating and long, I'm literally talking about chapters that very little happens, and the plot does not avance. The battles aren't very interesting either, they're slow and really basic, and even excessively predictable at times. The opponents look god-like-strong and in matter of minutes they look lame against the same warriors.
I would say that these series means a lot by its context, and by how it inspired another animes in the 90's and 00's; but being one of the first animes also mean that it wasn't so good.
Watched it all and now looking forward to watch Hades Chapter, The Lost Canvas, Omega, Soul of God and Saintia Sho; I hope they raise the level. Would not recommend 6/10
Hunter x Hunter (2011)
Lack of plot
The show doesn't really have a plot, as it forms as well as the episodes goes on. The different arcs have poor connections. However, it has excellent characters and they develop very well, and the battles and animation are good. The lack of plot made me feel empty so this review is not a very good one, but acceptable 6.5/10
El marginal (2016)
One of the best tv series of the entire world
I'm starting this review saying one thing: if you want to appreciate this show, you have to distance yourself of your point of view. You have to come to one of these prisons, and go with the flow.
I'm from Uruguay, and it is not so different than Argentina in the matter of prisons. You have drugs, fights with blades, and LOTS of corruption. And this show shows it amazingly.
Besides the accuracy of the representation of the reality, this show has a very interesting plot, in which you keep getting surprised by the corruption and malleability of the prison system.
You also can watch the prison culture, or as they say "tumbera". The original slang from Río de la Plata is also there. As I said, they show amazingly the prisons' reality
I would recommend every human being on the world who wants to know a bit of South America this show. Excellent 10/10
The Vietnam War (2017)
Excellent documentary
I can't imagine what could have been living in USA in those years, being frightened to get drafted, having all-time discussions of the war itself, and being afraid of the police shootings. It's really sad how the governors tried to use the war for their own interests, and killed nearly 60 thousand of people of their own, and 2 million people from Vietnam, included all civilians who were unfairly assassinated.
USA was on his golden years and had lot of media, but let's not forget the people in Vietnam, whom died in tens of thousands, and they even can't find 300 thousand bodies. Besides that, the north was suffering from censorship of communists and south from dictatorships. It was a hell of a country
I guess the United States (and particularly Johnson) didn't have the intelligence enough for deducing that there were no convenient side on this, and that they didn't have to get involved.
This is one of the best documentaries that exist, and it has a lot of material. Really fantastic
BoJack Horseman (2014)
It has its strong and weak points
The show itself is not really good, sometimes it lacks of good plot and revolves into the same things again and again. Also, I think that they use this as a show for giving a voice to the people that don't make good choices. However, it can be good, and I mean it. There are chapters that are masterpieces.
Particularly, season 4 is a pile of it. But it really gets a lot better in season 5. It has really good character development.
Black Mirror (2011)
A masterpiece of science fiction
I think Black Mirror is the case that's proves not all science fiction-related series are nerd. It undermines all the doubts and speculations about the future by answering it on the show. Masterpiece 10/10
Final Space (2018)
Amazing
This show is truly amazing! Very heart-warming, and Mooncake is so adorable. One of the bests animated series that I've seen
Unbelievable (2019)
Real history that sparks your mind
It's really nuts that this whole thing had happened. Someone would just think "only in movies", but this is the realest confirmation of facts that we could have.
Personally, I didn't like Meritt Wever's acting, she lacks of expression in most of the times. However, this story shows what women have to live every time they face the bureaucracy of the police and state in rape cases. We have to stand up for this injustice and not let it happen anymore.
Awesome acting from Toni Collette, and a truly outstanding performance of Kaitlyn Dever, she is really amazing.
Excellent series/real history 8/10
Fear the Walking Dead: Channel 5 (2019)
Again, terrible episode
It just don't have any sense. They made the worst decisions they could make. The production is not making any effort for making people continue watching it
