The story of the Corleone Crime Family led by it's patriarch Vito Corleone, who hands his power to his son Michael as the new leader. Only for his decision to lead a risky future to his family.

Part 2 focuses on the juxtapositioned stories between the rise of Young Vito in the early 20th century. While focusing in 1958 on Michael's fall from grace.
