Currently in cinemas alongside Stallone and the gang in The Expendables 2, and previously seen in one of the year’s biggest blockbusters, The Hunger Games, Liam Hemsworth has had a pretty excellent year, making a strong name for himself (beyond the early references to him as Chris Hemsworth’s brother).
He’ll next be starring in romance-drama, Love and Honor, opposite Teresa Palmer (Wish You Were Here, the upcoming Warm Bodies) in the female lead, and now the first trailer has made its way online.
“When Dalton Joiner (Austin Stowell), a young soldier in Vietnam, gets dumped by his hometown girlfriend Jane (Aimee Teegarden), he vows to sneak home during war to win her back. His best buddy,
Mickey Wright (Hemsworth), never one to miss out on a wild time, decides to go with him. They must get back to America, change her mind and return to the war without getting caught.

With the Vietnam war raging, one man will make a decision that tests his own morals, ethics and view on American life: fight for his country or go skinny dipping with Teresa Palmer? Yes, those are quandaries Liam Hemsworth faces in "Love and Honor," the kind of movie Channing Tatum used to do. First-time director Danny Mooney takes on the script penned by Jim Burnstein and Garrett Schiff that is apparently based on a true story of an American soldier who gets dumped while serving overseas and goes Awol with his buddy to win back his girlfriend, only to fall for someone else entirely. And also learn about hippies and anti-war protesting along the way. Shot with an autumnal sheen worthy of Thomas Kinkade, this sales trailer is some pretty soppy, sappy stuff that doesn't know an emotional beat it can't beat down with a sledgehammer. So yes, you will...

D3: The Mighty Ducks
Directed by Robert Lieberman
Written by Steven Brill, Jim Burnstein, and Kenneth Johnson
Starring Emilio Estevez, Jeffrey Nordling, Joshua Jackson
The drum I will keep beating throughout the entirety of this podcast, throughout however many years the show runs for, the one you will beg me to stop harping on (though I never, ever will) is internal logic. I don’t care what kind of movie you’re making, I don’t care if the audience is meant to be 5 or 50: you need to have internal logic in your story. If not, the story falls apart. Even great movies that are implausible manage to make audiences forget those implausibilities while it’s taking place. But movies that don’t try to make audiences focus on what’s truly important, movies that don’t have internal logic and don’t care, are the ones I dislike most of all.

I’m sure that Awol is familiar title for you, because we already had a little chat about this indie movie which is, by the way, based on a true story.
So, by now, you also know that Liam Hemsworth, Austin Stowell, Teresa Palmer and Aimee Teegarden are all on board to star in Danny Mooney‘s upcoming flick. But, here’s an interesting addition! Apparently now Wyatt Russell will join them as well.
As we previously reported, Awol will follow Stowell as a young soldier in Vietnam who gets dumped by his hometown girl, played by Teegarden.
On the other hand, Hemsworth plays his best friend who joins him in going Awol, and together, they return to the States to win her back. As for Russell, at this moment there’s still no character details for his role.
