Supermodel and reality TV star Heidi Klum wins the trophy for the most-talked-about celebrity costume of 2022 with the hyperrealistic “rain worm” ensemble she wore to her 21st annual Halloween bash, held on Oct. 31 in New York City.
The outfit — a ringed sarcophagus from which only Klum’s eyes and mouth could be seen — looked like what might happen if the Michelin Man mated with a Slim Jim. It instantly set social media on fire, drawing amusement, confusion and revulsion in equal measure. To some, it was hailed as a performance art masterpiece; others saw it and demanded it instantly be killed with fire.
Whichever way one felt about it, however, the worm proved impossible to turn away from.
From where could such a monstrosity have emanated? To get those answers, The Hollywood Reporter went directly to the source: Klum herself and Mike Marino,...

The new video from thrash metal legends Anthrax, Blood Eagle Wings, is so ghoulishly gory you’ll never believe yer eerie eyeballs (and you can see it below, my creeps!) So naturally I had to send out an invite via carrier crow for the clips die-rector Jack Bennett to join us for a lil’ convo in the Crypt o’ Xiii, and wadda ya know, here he is now!
Famous Monsters. Let’s get right down to brass tacks, Jack! How did the story for Blood Eagle Wings evolve? Jack Bennett. It just began with Scott Ian sending me the song and saying it was about how civilizations evolve throughout history on a foundation of violence. He only had two stipulations about the video; he didn’t want it to be performance-based, so no band playing the song, and there had to be someone actually blood eagle’d onscreen, which I had to look up.

Earlier this month, Nerdist launched a Blood & Guts webseries. Hosted by Anthrax’s Scott Ian, the series focuses on the greatest FX artists working today and we have the first three episodes for you to watch.
The two newest episodes feature Gary Tunnicliffe, who worked on most of the Hellraiser films, and Jerry Constantine (Watchmen, 300). We’ve also included the first episode with Greg Nicotero, where he gives a tour of Knb Efx and shows off some of the zombies from The Walking Dead.

Fangoria’s new show on the Nerdist Network, Blood and Guts with Scott Ian, will debut with Knb Efx Group’s co-founder and make-up master Greg Nicotero who is behind some truly splatter-ful moments from The Walking Dead, Evil Dead 2, and Inglourious Basterds, to name a few.
Ian chats with Nicotero about his history creating zombies, predators, aliens and flesh-eating demons. It’s an awesome look at the iconic models used on some of the most popular horror movies in history.
Blood and Guts will feature five FX masters, including Gary Tunnicliffe, Rob Hall (Almost Human FX), Jerry Constantine, and Jennifer Aspinall, every Tuesday through November on The Nerdist Network.

Let’s face it horror fans: we want and rarely get classic rubber monster movies now days. CG has changed the game, but for the better? Occasionally, we get some glimmer of hope in films like Dylan Dog: Dead of Night and Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer, and maybe in the upcoming prequel The Thing, but our wishes will soon be granted by director Fred Andrews in his debut, Creature.
In the back country of Louisiana, a group of friends unearth a terrible secret that unleashes a monster from the depths of the swamp.
Starring Sig Haig (The Devil’s Rejects), Daniel Bernhardt (Bloodsport 2), Serinda Swan, Mehcad Brooks, and Rebekah Kennedy (Season of the Witch), Creature is arriving in theaters soon, and Killer Film catches up with director Fred Andrews for a chat about the film, the monster, and making an icon.
