Felicity starred Russell as a young California woman attending college in New York City. Speedman and Foley were her love interests.

How did you love that filler installment, dolls?
A murder mystery was the perfect opportunity for some fun, high emotions, and drama, and it was abundantly clear that the cast and crew had a blast filming Good Trouble Season 5 Episode 15.
The hour wasn't all silliness and pointless fodder, as some notable developments pushed the storylines further.
Nevertheless, that doesn't prevent "It's My Party, I Can Die if I Want To" from being the epitome of an "acquired taste."
The difficulty of a filler installment like this is that we now know it's the final season, and with every bit of anxiety about how things will wrap up and if they do so correctly, an entire installment devoted to frivolous fun can feel downright wasteful.
It was a classic Coterie event with some relationship woes and progress, wholly unique concepts that make you wish you were invited to such an affair,...

It has been 25 years since Keri Russell graced the small screen in the iconic role of Felicity Porter.
Felicity, the J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves-produced college drama, was a critical darling of The WB, becoming a phenomenon well before "the big chop" controversy and often topping the list of young adult classics to this very day.
The series amassed 84 episodes over four seasons, and it was nominated for 38 awards, including a Golden Globe Best Actress nod for Keri Russell.
The series remains impactful, even two and a half decades later. And it's primarily due to the allure of the cast, many of whom are still going strong in their careers all these years later.
So, where is the cast of Felicity now? Check it out!

The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, Sep. 19, is shaping up to be a global spectacle. World leaders, including President Biden, will be in attendance, and the world’s media will be there, too.
The queen’s funeral will be the first time such an event has been broadcast on television. In 1952, when Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne, the funeral procession of King George VI was televised in the U.K., but the funeral itself remained private. Not so this time.
While the BBC will be the official broadcaster of the proceedings, every U.S. TV news organization will be in attendance, flying in many of their top anchors and blowing up their typical programming lineups to carry it live.
Here’s what’s planned from the U.S. TV news networks.

Video Version of this Article Photo/Video: Amanda Foreman/Hollywood Insider YouTube Channel “The narrative of ‘man the hunter’ presupposes that men provided the nutrition, invented the tools, and established social organization and communication through the hunt,” she says, “and that women were just sitting by the fire waiting for evolution to drag them out by the hair in the 1960s in order to participate. But that’s simply a story told by late-19th-century paleontologists, and is playing out in dioramas in natural history museums throughout the world. Other narratives are just as plausible, for example, that women invented language through communicating with their offspring, and that the ‘tool’ could just as easily have been cudgels for mashing and digging sticks for food,” -Amanda Foreman The history of women in America and all over the globe has been quite a non-linear one, filled with triumph, loss, and sacrifice--but in this groundbreaking four-part docu-series,...

It's been more than 15 years since the cast of Felicity was in the same room together…until now. Keri Russell, Scott Foley, Scott Speedman, Amy Jo Johnson, Greg Grunberg, Tangi Miller, Amanda Foreman and Ian Gomez got together in Austin, Texas for the Atx TV Festival and Today cameras were there to capture their gathering. Felicity aired from 1998-2002 on The WB. In the interview below, the cast talked about the earliest and favorite memories of the show, which for Speedman includes just meeting everyone on the pilot, and got to the bottom of the mystery of Russell's hair: Yes, it's still curly. She gets it straightened. "Hold on, there's a Brazilian wax and a Brazilian hair...

Dear Sally . . . The Felicity cast reunited at the Atx Television Festival and the nostalgia is overwhelming. Members of the iconic show's original cast, including Keri Russell, Scott Speedman, Scott Foley, Amy Jo Johnson, Greg Grunberg, Amanda Foreman, Ian Gomez, Rob Benedict, and Tangi Miller, gathered onstage in Austin to answer audience questions, reminisce over the series's controversial last episodes, and talk about a possible reboot.
After the revivals of other fan-favorite shows like Full House and Gilmore Girls, the idea of a reboot was definitely on everyone's mind during the cast's panel. According to Deadline, Foley previously said he wouldn't be interested in bringing the show back, but changed his comments while with his castmates on Sunday, saying he'd love the "opportunity to see what happened" to the characters. Speedman reaffirmed Foley's comments and said, "There's a way to make it work."
A reboot? It's starting to feel like 1998 all over again.

As the cast of Felicity took the stage at the Paramount Theatre for the 20-year reunion at the Atx Television Festival, the memorable, comforting theme song echoed through the sold-out audience. Fans of the then-WB channel, angsty college drama welcomed stars Keri Russell, Scott Speedman, Scott Foley, Tangi Miller, Amanda Foreman, Ian Gomez, Greg Grunberg, Rob Benedict, Amy Jo Johnson, and show director/executive producer Lawrence Trilling as they reflected on their experiences on the show. But amidst all the nostalgia, cast camaraderie, and behind-the-scenes anecdotes, the cast had a tough time recalling that multi-tiered series finale and Noel — er, I mean Foley backpedaled his thoughts on a Felicity reunion.

The cast of “Felicity” is coming around on a reboot. Star Scott Foley said that he had been resistant to revisiting the show until the cast reunited on stage on Sunday at the Atx Television Festival in Austin.
“I feel the show was so specific to the characters in that time of their lives,” Foley said, recounting what he had previously told a reporter when asked the question of a “Felicity” reboot. “To do it again would be an injustice to the show we all made and all love.”
But then came the “Felicity” reunion on stage at Atx, featuring stars Keri Russell, Scott Speedman, Foley, Greg Grunberg, Tangi Miller, Amanda Foreman, Ian Gomez, Rob Benedict, and Amy Jo Johnson. The panel kicked off with a clip of the series’ four-year run on The WB (1998-2002), now streaming on Hulu.

Dear Sally: Could Felicity Porter be ready to re-enroll for another semester?
The cast of The WB’s college-dorm drama Felicity, led by series star Keri Russell, reunited on Sunday at the Atx Festival to look back on the beloved series 20 years later. Naturally, the idea of a revival came up, and Scott Foley, who played dorky R.A. Noel Crane, was initially skeptical — but the reunion changed his mind.
“I would love to work with everyone again,” he told the panel, according to The Hollywood Reporter, “and get an opportunity to find out what happened to [everyone]… I’ve missed you guys!

Two decades after “Felicity” premiered, the cast and producer-director Lawrence Trilling reunited at the Atx Television Festival and addressed its controversial double ending.
“The network canceled us — kind of. And then they were like, ‘Just kidding,’ do a few more,'” titular star Keri Russell said in Austin, Tex. Sunday.
She added that series co-creators and executive producers J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves had agreed with the cast that Felicity had to graduate by the end of the show, so they planned for that moment to come in the 17th episode of the fourth season “regardless if they [were] going to give us .”
Then, when the WB did come back with an order for five more episodes that would ultimately wrap up the series permanently, the show was tasked with the question of what life-post graduation would look like for a character whose journey started by following her high school crush across the country.

Emma Watson is truly talented! A self-portrait that was supposedly painted by the 23-year-old actress herself has been making the rounds on the Internet this week. The beautiful piece of wall art, which features wide, colorful brush strokes, shows the Perks of Being a Wallflower star holding a camera up to the viewer. While we're not 100 percent sure that Watson painted the portrait herself, a 2011 interview in Vogue magazine seems to confirm the work is indeed Watson's. In an article penned by Amanda Foreman several years ago, Foreman wrote, "As Emma takes me on a tour of her house, the extraordinary depth and breadth to her talents become obvious. Every room is framed around a beautiful...

Should J.J. Abrams decide that it would be, ahem, felicitous to reunite with one of his former TV colleagues for Star Wars: VII… well, he has Keri Russell’s number. “I’m waiting for my call,” she deadpans.

Before Star Trek was Fringe and Lost, and Alias and before Alias was Felicity. It may be hard to recall that genre wunderkind Abrams actually broke into television by making a splash in 1998 with the WB series about a college girl. Created with Cabin in the Woods collaborator Matt Reeves, the series is worth a second look given the storytelling, music, and keen eye for casting that first introduced to an armload of performers who have gone on to success, including repeat appearances in later Abrams productions. Or do you think Keri Russell’s cameo in Mission: Impossible 3 was an oddity?
Lionsgate has resurrected the first two seasons in newly packaged DVDs, both out this week. The WB knew that a female-skewing series with a high concept would be a good fit for their struggling network so when Abrams and Reeves turned up with the concept, there was excitement.

Keri Russell will star in FX's Cold War spy drama The Americans, the network announced today. Wonderful! The show, set in the D.C. burbs in the eighties, centers on Elizabeth and Phillip Jennings (Russell and a yet-to-be-cast co-star), two Kgb spies posing as suburban American parents. The show was created by Joe Wiesberg, who used to work for the CIA, so he probably knows all kinds of secrets. This is quite the pilot season for Felicity alums: Scott Foley was cast in The Goodwin Games, Greg Grunberg in a CBS comedy, Scott Speedman in Last Resort, and now this. Amanda Foreman and Tangi Miller, call your agents.

Now here's a way to start the weekend out on a fun note.
Bill Maher assembled a particularly eclectic panel for the July 8 of "Real Time," including Ann Coulter, Chris Hayes, Amanda Foreman and Chaz Bono.
As if watching Coulter and Maher exchange barbs wasn't a treat in and of itself, the addition of Sonny and Cher's transgendered son made things particularly exciting.
Conversation remained remarkably civilized, though -- even when the topic turned to Fox News contributor/psychiatrist Keith Ablow labeling Maher anti-woman and more-or-less calling him crazy.
We did get a gem from Coulter, though. Apparently a belief in a god and the need for therapy are mutually exclusive. (Take that, depressed churchgoers!)
Mediaite was kind enough to post the spicier portion of the panel, which you can watch in full below:...

Move over, Harry Potter: Emma Watson‘s ready for a change of character!
The 21-year actress is gearing up for her role as a hard-partying high school senior in the 2012 film The Parks of Being A Wall Flower —a movie, based on a novel, for which she sought out financing herself!
In her new interview with Vogue, Watson says, “Sam is such a different girl from who I am. I’ve been listening to The Smiths [her character's favorite band] on repeat for weeks.”
And Vogue reports that “In true Emma style, she went to Hollywood to help raise the financing for the movie.”
The magazine also draws a correlation between the story’s ending and Emma’s own sensibility. Vogue writer Amanda Foreman writes, “Near the end of the novel, Sam speaks for every young woman with a burning heart, a radiant soul, and a devouring need to experience all that life has to offer.

It's the best of both worlds — we can actually go, make some money, have some fun, show our appreciation to the fans and then go home."

Amanda Foreman is set to reprise her role on Private Practice, TV Guide reports.
Foreman plays the mentally unstable Katie Kent. One of the most memorable characters in the show's three-plus seasons, Katie lost her baby, then convinced herself she could get it back by cutting Violet's baby out of her belly in the terrifying Season 2 finale.
In Season 3, Katie stood trial for drugging and attacking Violet, who somehow stayed grounded enough to tell the court that Katie was delusional at the time of the near-murderous C-section, helping her deranged assailant avoid jail.
Details on Foreman's return are scarce, but she will reappear in Episode 19.
What do you think brings her back this time around? Comment below.

Taking a left turn, "Grey's Anatomy" adapts a documentary-style episode next week. A documentary film crew visits the hospital six months after the shooting to document the road to recovery for doctors and patients.
The camera lenses follow Derek, Owen, Mark & Callie as they ambitiously perform a rare arm transplant surgery, Meredith helps Cristina put on a brave face for the cameras, and Bailey's patient, Mary, returns for her surgery which marks the first time they've all seen of each other since that fateful day.
The October 28 episode is like a wrap up to the post-shooting storyline. But despite the closure, creator Shonda Rhimes told EW that Cristina will keep struggling at work. "Cristina is a person who has identified herself purely as a surgeon, before anything else," Rhimes said. "And for her to be at a place where she's not sure if she can even pick up a scalpel is fairly devastating.

Last season, we saw Grey's Anatomy try some different things filming-wise, with some story lines revolving around fewer characters, and even a Rashomon-style episode in there.
On October 28, the experimentation will continue.
That week, a camera crew visits Seattle Grace to film a documentary about the staff's recovery in the wake of the shooting, and the episode will be shot from that crew's Pov.
Basically, get ready for shaky, hand-held cameras.
Also on that episode, there’s a major Calzona development, but it’s not a turn for the worse, despite their competitive ways. So that's good news for fans of this awesome couple.
Amanda Foreman, who's currently recurring on Parenthood, will guest star, as will both Mandy Moore and Ryan Devlin, reprising their memorable roles from last season's finale.
What do you think will happen on this episode of Grey's Anatomy, and do you like seeing new filming styles and vantage points?...

The Season Two finale of Private Practice ended with one of the most disturbing images in recent prime time TV history as Amy Brenneman's character, Violet Turner, was drugged and about to be cut open by some loon who wanted to yoink her baby.
But we know that Violet survives. She will come through. After all, Amy is back on the set, and they wouldn't dispatch one of their characters in such fashion.
Plus, you know Shonda Rhimes and her flair for the dramatic. While she loves a good cliffhanger, she also loves giving away spoilers / plot details in advance.
As for how she survives, look for Addison and Pete to help her pull through in the Private Practice season premiere October 1, according to E! Online reports.
The other good news? Katie Kent (Amanda Foreman), the crazy lady who was going to do the ridiculous C-section, is apprehended and on trial by November.
