It’s not uncommon for divorce to get messy, and the split between Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey has just taken a turn for the worst.
According to TMZ, the “Always Be My Baby” songstress sold the couple’s Bel-Air mansion for $9 million, almost four million bucks less than the original list price.
Cannon has filed a lawsuit stating that Carey and business manager Michael Kane did the whole deal behind his back. He’s demanding that the money from the sale of the house be frozen until he gets a detailed report on how the money will be divided. Kane told TMZ, “This lawsuit is frivolous and clearly a desperate act from a sadly desperate man.”...

Nick Cannon is suing mad at Mariah Carey's business manager Michael Kane after Kane sold their home without Cannon's knowledge! According to legal documents obtained by E! News, the America's Got Talent host has filed a lawsuit against Kane over the sale of his and Carey's $9 million Bel-Air home (the 6-bedroom, 9-bath property was originally listed for $12,995,000 million). Cannon claims he was not informed of the house's sale or of the closing date until Feb. 24. While the 34-year-old has "no objection" to selling the home, Cannon alleges his "initial efforts to obtain copies of the Purchase and Sale Agreement and other documents pertinent to the transaction were rebuffed by...

According to a new lawsuit ... Cannon says he never authorized the $9 million sale of the Bel-Air home he and Carey used to share, and believes biz manager Michael Kane was dealing exclusively with her people on the deal. He says...

Relativity Media has taken rights to a script about the manhunt for cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar, called "Silver or Lead." The original draft is from Michael Kane, while Piers Ashworth's screenplay will serve as the basis for Spanish director Enrique Urbizu, yet another overseas helmer making his English-language debut. "Silver of Lead" will center on the conflict between Escobar and General Hugo Martinez, as chronicled in Simon Strong's book "Whitewash: Pablo Escobar and the Cocaine Wars." Relativity has the rights to the book, as well as life rights to Escobar, Martinez and former Bogota DEA chief Joe Toft. Ryan Kavanaugh will produce with Mark Canton, Donald Kushner and Leigh Ann Burton. Canton says hopefully that the project is "reminiscent of 'The Untouchables.'" As for that title: Escobar had a phrase, "Plata o Plomo," meaning you could take his silver or his lead. Johnny Depp already played American cocaine king George Jung in "Blow,...

Relativity Media has acquired Piers Ashworth's script for "Silver or Lead" which deals with the manhunt for cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar.
Enrique Urbizu ("No Rest for the Wicked") will helm the project in which the focus is on the personal war between the Colombian drug lord and Brigadier-General Hugo Martinez.
Martinez was the commander of the Colombian police task force 'Search Bloc' which was setup to bring Escobar down, and ultimately succeeded.
Ashworth penned the script based on an original draft by Michael Kane, and Simon Strong's book "Whitewash: Pablo Escobar and the Cocaine Wars".
Mark Canton, Donald Kushner and Leigh Ann Burton will produce. This is not to be confused with other Escobar films in the works, such as the Benicio del Toro-led "Paradise Lost".

Southern Comfort
Stars: Keith Carradine, Powers Boothe, Fred Ward, Franklyn Seales, T.K. Carter, Lewis Smith, Peter Coyote, Alan Autry, Brion James, Sonny Landham | Written by Michael Kane, Walter Hill, David Giler | Directed by Walter Hill
There is something about Walter Hill’s style of storytelling that just gets me. I’m a big fan of The Warriors, even though it took me long enough to finally see the film. Once I finally got to see it though it turned into one of my favourite films. Southern Comfort is a film very much like The Warriors, written and directed by Hill it very much mirrors the style with a group of men out of their element and fighting for survival, though the city and the bayou are two very different “jungles”.

Big Boys Gone Bananas!
Directed by Fredrik Gertten
Sweden, 2011
Not so long ago in a country not so far, far away…
A Swedish journalist publishes a fiery polemic against a large, multi-national corporation. In response, said corporation successfully alleges fraud, effectively burying his work and blacklisting him from various media and journalistic syndications. To try and clear his name, the journalist embarks on a crusade against his own crusade, hoping to regain his own credibility, while trying to discredit the claims of his accusers.
You’ve heard of this story before. But this is not Stieg Larsson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. This is Fredrik Gertten’s Big Boys Gone Bananas!.
Director Fredrik Gertten
In 2009, Gertten, a Swedish filmmaker, made a documentary called Bananas!. The film, which has nothing to do with Woody Allen’s 1971 comedy of the same name, was about the Dole Food Company’s use of dangerous pesticides in Nicaragua,...

New Docs Claim La Toya May Own M.J. Family Home
The war over Michael Jackson's family house has just heated up ... because legal docs have just been filed with the court claiming La Toya Jackson .... Not the Michael Jackson Estate ... may actually own the home.
Alejandra Jackson -- the baby mama of Randy and Jermaine -- has been living at the house with her kids, and the estate is going to court Tuesday trying to evict her.
In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Alejandra's lawyer claims Michael may have held the property in joint tenancy with La Toya, so when Michael died his interest in the house would have automatically gone to La Toya.
We checked the records of the L.A. County Recorder, and the title is currently held as Michael Jackson J Decd [deceased]. And Michael Kane, ...
