The Warner Archive Collection is really starting to put out some great DVDs that feature titles you aren’t going to find anywhere else, and the latest to be made available is Search. A massively fun show from the early 70s, Search starred Hugh O’Brian, Doug McClure, and Tony Franciosa, and was (although I’m testing my memory) a show that pulled great tech ideas into the espionage drama realm, at a point when some of the ideas were practically sci-fi.
The complete series is available now, and it’s a lost classic that deserves a look. Unfortunately, it’s hard to get a taste of it to know if you’re interested in buying, but for those who remember the series, this is a real treat.
Catch the full info below, and don’t let this one escape your notice.
Look no further: You can now find Search...

Peter Weller muses that he reached "Hawaii Five-0" by way of "Star Trek."
Best known as the title character in "RoboCop," the actor and director fills both jobs in Monday's (Feb. 4) new episode of the CBS series reboot, an update of the original show's 1973 story "Hookman." Weller now plays the double amputee out to exact revenge for the loss of his hands ... with McGarrett's (Alex O'Loughlin) late father among those he holds responsible, making McGarrett a target.
"I'm in [this summer's movie] 'Star Trek Into Darkness,'" Weller tells Zap2it of landing the 'Five-0" gig, "and two of the writers on that are Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, whose company fronts the remake of 'Hawaii Five-0.' So, I was talking to Orci on the set and said, 'I direct television now, and I love it. And "Hawaii Five-o" was my favorite show growing up. It was the only show I watched continuously,...

Episodes 3 and 4 of the inaugural season saw Serling tackling classic Hollywood: "Mr. Denton on Doomsday" challenges the moral codes of Hollywood westerns and "The Sixteen-Millimeter Shrine" examines the short shelf-life of classic starlets, not to mention giving Serling's own sentimentalist take on Wilder's caustic Sunset Boulevard.
Season 1, Episode 3 - Mr. Denton On Doomsday
Originally aired on October 16, 1959
Written by: Rod Serling
Directed by: Allen Reisner
Mr. Henry Fate, dealer in utensils and pots and pans, liniments and potions. A fanciful little man in a black frock coat who can help a man climbing out of a pit—or another man from falling into one. Because, you see, Fate can work that way...in the Twilight Zone.
For the third entry into the series, Serling looks back to the old west and one of its memorable faces from the 1950s, Dan Duryea. Here, Duryea plays a middle-aged drunkard who we first...
