The crime of the century became a media circus, with no angle hidden -- yet behind what we saw on TV was even more conflict and consternation. This eight-hour miniseries is a beautifully constructed recreation with excellent casting, even though its O.J. doesn't remind us much of the original. It's highly absorbing stuff to anyone who lived through it. The People v. O.J. With submissions ranging from countries like Italy and Nepal to as short as several minutes to feature length films, every aspect of storytelling has been covered within the 2015 Soho International Film Festival . It only seems fitting that the festival wraps up its sixth annual festival with a number of prominent presenters including The Avengers’ Robert Clohessy and Rescue Me’s James McCaffrey. With awards given to the best of the best at the festival, it was a great close to another successful year for the festival.
There was an even greater presence among the jurors of the festival, with people have worked as actors on shows like Dexter to writers and directors having worked on films like On Golden Years. Asa Butterfield and Britt Robertson are taking on the lead roles in an untitled science-fiction romance.
Based on a short story by Richard Lewis, Stewart Schill and Allan Loeb, the project will also star Gary Oldman and Carla Gugino, reports Deadline.
Set at a time when planetary colonisation has begun, the film will follow the first child born on Mars (Butterfield) as he begins an online romance with a girl in the Us (Robertson).
He plans to escape the secret colony he lives in to travel to Earth and meet her, but Earth's gravity turns out to threaten his life.
The lovers have no choice but to locate the billionaire who funded Martian colonisation to gather information about the boy's dead mother and the circumstances surrounding his birth.
Peter Chelsom (Hector and the Search for Happiness) will direct a script written by Loeb, while Loeb will also executive produce alongside Steven Pearl and Doug Urbanski.

An intergalactic love story originally set up at now-bankrupt Relativity under the title "Out of This World" has now migrated to Stx Entertainment, a fast-growing, deep-pocketed film and TV studio launched last year by Robert Simonds. Relativity, which has had a hell of a week, had not fully greenlit the project when Stx began bidding in mid-July. But the film had a script from Allan Loeb and a director, Peter Chelsom ("Hector and the Search for Happiness"), who's staying onboard. Based on a story written by Richard Lewis, Stewart Schill and Loeb, the film is now untitled and is set to star Gary Oldman, Asa Butterfield, Carla Gugino and Britt Robertson. Here's the synopsis: Read More: Troubled Western "Jane Got a Gun" Rescued as Relativity Files for Bankruptcy In this modern love story about two galaxy-crossed teens from different worlds, Gardner Elliot, the first human born on Mars, is secretly...

American Cinema Editors (Ace) today announced nominations for the 64th Annual Ace Eddie Awards recognizing outstanding editing in ten categories of film, television and documentaries. Winners will be revealed during Ace’s annual black-tie awards ceremony on Friday, February 7, 2014 in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The Ace Eddie Awards is considered an integral precursor to the Oscars. No film has won Best Picture at the Oscars without also having received at least a Best Editing nomination since Ordinary People in 1981. Since the Ace membership boasts a very high crossover within its membership of Academy members, it represents a very accurate bellwether for the eventual Oscar outcome.

As the nominations were unveiled Tuesday morning for the American Cinema Editors' 60th annual Ace Eddie Awards, this year's awards season is looking more and more like a Hollywood version of Comic-Con.
Just like the Art Directors Guild, the editors organization nominated "Avatar," "District 9" and "Star Trek."
Those three movies will compete for best edited dramatic feature film along with "The Hurt Locker" and "Up in the Air."
Two Meryl Streep vehicles -- "Julie & Julia" and "It's Complicated" -- were nominated in the best comedy or musical category along with "(500) Days of Summer," "The Hangover" and "A Serious Man."
For best animated film, the contenders are "Coraline," "Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "Up."
"This Is It," the Michael Jackson documentary, scored a slot in Ace's best documentary race alongside "The Cove" and "Food, Inc."
An honorary society of motion picture editors founded in 1950, Ace's noms usually point toward Oscar victory...
