Tiffany Haddish opened a fake Instagram account to track down her online trolls and sometimes call them on the phone, the comedian said this week.
In a new profile with the Los Angeles Times, Haddish said she faces intense Internet bullying, which worsened after the since-dropped 2022 legal complaint alleging that Haddish and comedian Aries Spears had “groomed” two anonymous people.
Haddish began by blocking key terms on Instagram to avoid the hatred, including “setback,” “pedo” and “not funny.” When death threats continued, she hired a digital forensics analyst to research where they were coming from and discovered that three-quarters of the messages were from bots in Malaysia and Iran.
Since then, she has also created a fake Instagram alias under the name Sarah, which she uses to collect the personal information of her non-robot online bullies.

Lizzo has appeared to respond to Kanye West’s comments about her weight.
In a recent Fox News interview, the Donda rapper said that what he saw as the promotion of obesity by social media companies was “demonic”.
“When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots… on Instagram, they attack her losing weight because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy,” West, who legally changed his name to Ye, told host Tucker Carlson.
During a concert last week, Lizzo appeared to respond back to Ye’s comments, saying: “I feel like everybody in America got my motherf***ing name in their motherf***ing mouth for no motherf***ing reason.
“I’m minding my fat Black beautiful business,” she added.
This isn’t the first time Lizzo has clapped back at someone who spoke about her body.

Lizzo has “made history” after she was given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play former US president James Madison’s 200-year-old flute on stage during her Washington DC concert.
The Emmy and Grammy-winning singer, who is currently on tour promoting her newest album, Special, posted a video of the historical moment on Twitter.
In the caption, she wrote: “Y’all, I played the 200-year-old crystal flute from the Library of Congress on Stage in DC.”
Midway through her Tuesday (27 September) performance, Lizzo can be seen making her way toward the side of the stage, where she’s handed a flute.
After carrying it gingerly to centre stage, she joked: “It’s crystal. It’s like playing out of a wine glass, bitch, so be patient.”
The 34-year-old classically trained flautist played a riff for the audience before she walked it back to the side of the stage in shock.

Tiffany Haddish says she lost all her jobs after a molestation lawsuit — which has since been dismissed — was filed against her.
The 42-year-old comedian was named in the lawsuit alongside Aries Spears, in which they were accused of grooming and molestation.
The lawsuit was filed by a 22-year-old woman identified as Jane Doe for herself and her younger brother, who is still a minor.
Jane claimed in the suit that she was 14 years old when Tiffany Haddish allegedly convinced her to film a sexually suggestive video and taught her how to mimic a sexually explicit act.
A clip purported to be from the comedy skit in question circulated online, leading to the Girls Trip star facing major backlash on social media.
Haddish, through her lawyer, said the lawsuit was an extortion attempt.

Despite the child abuse lawsuit being dropped against Tiffany Haddish, the “Girls Trip” star says she’s straight out of work.
“All my gigs, gone. Everything, gone,” Haddish told TMZ. “I don’t have no job, bro.”
Comedians Haddish and Aries Spears were at the center of a child sexual abuse lawsuit filed August 30 by two anonymous plaintiffs. The brother and sister duo claimed Haddish and Spears were asked to perform lewd acts while underage as part of a Funny or Die sketch comedy bit; John Doe was seven years old and Jane Doe was 14 at the time of the alleged abuse.
The lawsuit against Spears and Haddish was dropped September 20, with Jane Doe filing a notice of dismissal with prejudice.

Tiffany Haddish has claimed that she has “lost everything” after being accused of child sexual abuse in a now-dismissed lawsuit.
In August, a 22-year-old woman using the pseudonym Jane Doe filed a lawsuit alleging that Haddish and fellow comedian Aries Spears had forced her and her 15-year-old brother separately to perform inappropriate acts on camera when they were both children.
Representatives for Haddish and Spears denied the allegations in separate statements and on Tuesday (20 September), Doe asked the judge to dismiss the case.
Speaking to TMZ following the dismissal, Haddish said that the damage had already been done to her career.
After the interviewer commented that the experience must have been “stressful”, Haddish responded: “You think?”
“I lost everything,” she then said. “All my gigs, gone. Everything, gone… I don’t have no job. I don’t have no job, bro.”

Though the molestation lawsuit against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears was dropped Wednesday, the damage already appears to have been done.
The “Girls Trip” star has told TMZ it cost her “all my gigs.”
Caught by their cameras at Lax, Haddish said, “I lost everything. All my gigs are gone.” When asked if the dismissal of the lawsuit would change things, she replied, “I don’t know, bro. I don’t have no job.”
Although she didn’t specify which jobs she may have lost, it was announced earlier this year she would be returning for Season 2 of Apple’s “The Afterparty.” Her next big film is the Disney horror comedy “Haunted Mansion,” which is currently in post-production.

Tiffany Haddish has broken her silence after she and fellow comedian Aries Spears were accused of grooming and molestation.
Last week, a 22-year-old woman sued the pair on behalf of her younger brother and herself. They were identified as Jane and John Doe, respectively.

The lawsuit also alleges that John Doe, who was seven at the time, was molested by both Spears and Haddish while filming a video which was titled “Through a Pedophiles Eyes.

Bad Bunny fans have come to the rapper’s defence after his VMAs kiss prompted queerbating accusations.
During MTV’s Video Music Awards on Sunday (28 August), the 28-year-old Puerto Rican rapper – who won the Album of the Year Award – kissed one of his male dancers while performing his hit song “Tití Me Preguntó”.
Despite the moment receiving a fair amount of praise, some Twitter fans weren’t happy with the display of affection, accusing Bad Bunny of queerbaiting.
“Queerbaiting. Just to be ‘different,’” one wrote, with another adding: “Then went back to his girlfriend. Like please leave us alone.”
While Bad Bunny – real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio – has maintained an image as a gender-bending artist, he has been in a relationship with jewellery designer Gabriela Berlingeri for the past five years.
However, others were quick to argue back, with one calling the moment “monumental”, before adding in context, explaining...

After giving us the impressive Sable back in 2017, director Michael Matteo Rossi is now gearing up for his next effort, Chase. Set to lens this summer, we’re learning today that the film has picked up Grimm star Damien Puckler, who’ll be joining an already solid cast which includes Jessica Morris, Aries Spears, Skye Townsend (Lucifer), Richard Riehle, and indie horror legend Devanny Pinn.
Said to be a hitman thriller, Chase – written by Rossi – will revolve around a young hitman who’s “torn between the loyalty he has for his mentor/best friend and his girlfriend and young son, whom he was responsible for orphaning.” Speaking about how he’d describe his new project, the director/writer stated the following:
“Chase really is a roller coaster of a ride. I feel there’s a lot of stinging emotion mixed with some action and a lot of unique kills from our lead hitman.
