One of the year's most engaging movies, 10 Cloverfield Lane, is making it's way to blu-ray next month. On top of giving eager fans a release date, they've also announced the special features we can expect. Come inside for all the details!
Even though it hasn't been that long since 10 Cloverfield Lane came out in theaters, I feel like I've been waiting forever on the blu-ray. It's a movie that Begs to be watched over and over, with plenty of reason to pause and search for hidden clues. I loved the film when it first released (garnering a near perfect score), and I did some serious deep-diving into its connections with the other film not too long ago.
So yeah, you could say I'm more than a little excitement about today's blu-ray announcement. It'll hit blu-ray on June 14th, but will land digitally at the end of the month on May...

What's in a frame?
With the opening of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey at midnight, acclaimed director Peter Jackson has once again brought J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth and all of its denizens to life on the big screen. This time, however, he also brought a little something extra to the moviegoing experience — a faster frame rate. Some critics hate Jackson's decision to shoot at 48 frames/second and even Frodo Baggins himself, Elijah Wood, has said that it took several screenings of the movie before he was used to seeing it at twice the normal speed.
If you're confused about frame rates and what it might mean about your viewing of The Hobbit this weekend, check out this clip from our exclusive interview with Jackson, in which he gives our own Patrick Stinson a little history lesson in film and explains why the movie will be more "immersive" than anything you've ever seen before.

This weekend, Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis will square off on the big screen for the first time in the comedy The Campaign (formerly Dog Fight and Rivals). Ferrell plays Camden "Cam" Brady, a longtime North Carolina Congressman, with Galifianakis as his newcomer rival Martin "Marty" Huggins. According to the movie's stars, it may be the first comedy of its kind.
"I don't know of any kind of big, R-rated political comedy," Galifianakis told Hollywood Dailies' own Patrick Stinson about the movie. "I don't know if there is one." (1992's Bob Roberts comes to mind as far as a R-Rated political comedy, though the scale was considerably smaller.)

Child abuse is no laughing matter... except when Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis are involved. The two kings of comedy team up in director Jay Roach's (Dinner for Schmucks) new comedy, The Campaign (formerly Dog Fight and Rivals), a timely lampoon of politics in this presidential election year. Hollywood Dailies' own Patrick Stinson recently sat down with the two actors to discuss some of the over-the-top hijinks in the movie that caused him to "soil" himself, such as the campaign trail photo op that results in "Cam" Brady (Ferrell) slugging a baby instead of his opponent, "Marty" Huggins (Galifianakis).

The upcoming remake of Total Recall, actor Bryan Cranston will take over as the antagonist Cohaagen, the character originally portrayed by Ronny Cox in director Paul Verhoeven's 1990 adaptation and a name that fans of the original probably still reminisce being yelled in Arnold Schwarzenegger's accent. Cranston has been appearing in more and more movie roles since debuting as Walter White on AMC's critically acclaimed drama Breaking Bad, and, during an interview with Reelz, explained that landing the role was as simple as a phone call.
"I was working on Breaking Bad and I got a call that the director Len Wiseman wanted to talk to me to be about possibly playing Cohaagen in the remake of Total Recall," Cranston told Reelz's Patrick Stinson. "And I said, 'Ok.'"

The third and final installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman series, The Dark Knight Rises, opens this week and fans could not be more excited. It turns out that cast members couldn't be more excited either.
In the ReelzChannel special, The Dark Knight Rises: The Battle for Gotham, we got the first-hand accounts of making the movie directly from the A-list cast. Our Patrick Stinson sat down to talk with both Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt about the conclusion to this epic story, and it turns out it is definitely an ending and not just an episodic Part 3. When asked if it was the end of the story, the pair did not mince words. Oldman said simply, "I know for sure," and Gordon-Levitt followed up with "This is clearly, I think, the end of a story."
It was also clear that both actors found inspiration from their amazingly talented cast mates.

"The good guys dress in black, remember that..."
Yes, Will Smith, we remember that, but did you know that the bad guys dress in yellow and have claw-tipped tentacles bursting from their palms? Hmm? We do, thanks to the new still images from director Barry Sonnenfeld's Men in Black III (MIB3) that have been released online. While there's not a lot that seems designed to remind us of what we loved about the original Men in Black movies: the odd couple relationship between curmudgeonly old Agent K (Tommy Lee Jones) and his jiggy partner, Agent J (Smith), and the crazy hardware they use when wrangling the latest wackadoo alien-gone-wild.
In MIB3, the offending alien (Jemaine Clement) has more than just a little mayhem on his mind, time-tripping back to the '60s to kill young K (Josh Brolin) in the hopes of preventing the secret alien watchdog group from...

Lucasfilms will finally be releasing George Lucas' passion project, Red Tails, in theaters January 20th. This action-packed movie is based on the true story of African-American pilots who experienced segregation during World War II. Although they were in the Tuskegee training program, they spent most of their time on the ground rather than in the air until they were called to duty by Col. A.J. Bullard. Lucas has spent over 23 years and $93M of his own money to take the movie to the big screen.
When asked by Reelz's Patrick Stinson about the difficulties he had in getting the movie made, Lucas responded:
Well, Will Smith's not in it and it's not a sequel. If we had that, we wouldn't have had the problem.
Hopefully all of Lucas' hard work will pay off.
I financed the movie myself and went to the studios to distribute it and nobody wanted it.

Back in 2006, Tina Fey made an appearance on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart to promote her show, 30 Rock. During the course of the interview Fey and Stewart mentioned both Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell, two former Daily Show correspondents, and Fey made the statement "one of the two, and I will not say which one, was a notorious ladies' man."
So which Steve was it? After a recent press junket for the upcoming Crazy, Stupid, Love we might have the answer. While sitting down with our own Patrick Stinson, it looks like Carell kind of let the cat out of the bag.
