In a long piece for the July issue of GQ magazine, Kong: Skull Island director Jordan Vogt-Roberts detailed a harrowing 2017 assault at a nightclub in Vietnam that almost killed him, and the investigation he launched himself to find the assailants.
After production wrapped on Skull Island, which went on gross more than $500 million at the box office in 2017, Vogt-Roberts had decided to leave Hollywood to relocate to Vietnam, having fallen in love with Saigon. The city embraced Vogt-Roberts’ presence, with officials even appointing him Vietnam’s first American-born tourism ambassador. Upon relocating, the director quickly became a fixture in the Saigon club scene.
On September 9, 2017, at Xoxo nightclub in Saigon, Vogt-Roberts, who was joined by friends including Hollywood stuntman Ilram Choi, was jumped and brutally beaten by at least 10 men he described as “insane gangsters,” who beat him and hit him over the head with a champagne bottle before escaping.

With so much attention being placed on the changing "Amazing Spider-Man 2" cast, we've forgotten to check on director Marc Webb's Twitter feed for awesome set photos. Thankfully we checked in today, because it looks like the film has wrapped production!
While the pics don't shed any new light on Felicity Jones' mystery character, or show off the newly added Sarah Gadon, or even clarify what's going to happen to Shailene Woodley now that she's been cut from the film, the TwitPics (and TwitVideo!) capture the last few days of shooting in truly epic fashion. Seriously, the video of Andrew Garfield perched high atop Manhattan has to be seen to be believed. That's... that's a long way down, man...
We're gonna miss all these guys! Check out all of the tweets after the jump.
Day 92. Apparently this is what happens when you stand. pic.twitter.com...

Talking to Comicus, Ilram Choi has commented on his work as Andrew Garfield's stunt double in The Amazing Spider-Man. The fact they chose Choi, whose speciality is in martial arts, may further tease exactly the kind of movements we'll see from the iconic Marvel character in Marc Webb's upcoming adaptation. Below are some excerpts from the interview, but you can read the full version by clicking on the link below. For how long have you worked on The Amazing Spider-Man? About a year and a half. Did you have to wear the Spider-Man costume during some of your shooting? Was it somehow limiting your movements or not? Yes, it was pretty flexible and didn't limit the movements except for the vision. It was hard to see at times. Did you worked directly with the director, Marc Webb, and with the main actor, Andrew Garfield? Can you tell us something about it?...

// Everyone loves a good martial arts movie. One where two guys (or girls) face off against each other in a battle to see who's the best. Or it could be one lone warrior against many. Whatever it is, martial art and fighting movies have been around for a long time and will continue to be around as long as people have the money to pay or rent a movie where some dude kicks another dude right in his face. Speaking of fight films, Undisputed III is the second sequel about a fighting tournament that takes place in a prison. What's so great about the Undisputed films is, each one has been better than the last. Scott Adkins returns as Boyka, the bad guy from Undisputed II who was defeated by George Chambers (Michael Jai White). Suffering from a bum knee at the hands of George, Boyka is now a janitor who no longer fights.
