The German star’s new feature will be a tragicomedy starring a sizeable cast alongside the director himself. German actor and filmmaker Til Schweiger, who is best known to international audiences for playing Sergeant Hugo Stiglitz in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, is putting the finishing touches to his upcoming feature, Die Rettung der uns bekannten Welt (lit. “Saving the World Known to Us”). Following their collaboration on Class Reunion 1.0 – The Incredible Journey of the Silver Backs and Class Reunion 2.0 – The Wedding, Schweiger has once again teamed up with co-writer Lo Malinke in order to pen the screenplay of his latest film.
