Dove Cameron flew her wings at the 2024 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday in a floral floor-length gown by Diesel.
The event theme was Sleeping Beauties: Awakening Fashion. The “Boyfriend” singer brought her real-life boyfriend, Damiano David, along for the ride.
In 2022, she opened up about her experience prepping for the gala. “This is a funny story that I’ve never told, but they tried to make it to my measurements before it got to New York, but of course they had to alter it,” Dove told Harper’s Bazaar. “The whole dress was being held together by like the finest mesh in the world like we’re talking spider-web thin. Bunk’d, which is currently the Disney Channel’s longest running sitcom, is to conclude after the seventh series.
From early 2000s classics like Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire to The Suite Life franchise, That’s So Raven and the hugely succesful Hannah Montana (which was spun off into feature film Hannah Montana: The Movie in 2009), Disney’s formula of well cast, high concept sitcoms has put it at the top of the tween sitcom tree for several decades.
One of its more recent successes was Jessie, which provided a star vehicle for Debby Ryan after several years in The Suite Life On Deck.
The show saw Ryan play the titular character, who acted as a nanny for three kids – Zuri, Ravi, Luke and Emma, played by Skai Jackson, Karen Brar, Cameron Boyce and Peyton List, respectively. Jessie grew into one of Dusney’s most popular shows and eventually ran from 2011 to 2015.

Despite Audrey’s best efforts as Mal’s official wedding planner — which is insane, considering she spent years dreaming of marrying Ben herself — it was chaos from the start. Dude the Dog was chasing Maleficent around the castle, Snow White’s doves literally flew the coop and, oh yeah, Hades accidentally set the venue on fire. (Mal just had to say “Nothing could ruin this day,” didn’t she?...

Like the original film, this new version focuses on a group of 12-year-old friends who accidentally revive a mummy they discover in their neighbor’s basement several days before Halloween, and TVLine has an exclusive first look at the trailer.

Quiver Distribution isn’t a major name in the entertainment business, but that is gradually changing as the Canadian entertainment company has managed to snag a series of notable projects and used the pandemic to bolster its library of content.
Launched in 2019 by former eOne executive Berry Meyerowitz and former Lionsgate Films president Jeff Sackman, Quiver enjoyed success with the release of the Kevin James comedy “Becky” and “Crisis,” a thriller starring Gary Oldman and Evangeline Lily, both of which were released in select theaters before rising to the top of the VOD charts. “Crisis” also took the top spot at the speciality box office when it was released on Feb. 26. Quiver’s upcoming releases include the off-beat comedy “The Exchange” (pictured) and “The Survivalist,” an action-thriller starring John Malkovich and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The goal, Meyerowitz told Variety, is to release one to two movies monthly, which will add up to roughly 20 movies annually.

Cameron Boyce’s final film “Runt” will hit theaters this Fall after 1091 Pictures acquired the North American rights to the feature thriller, the distributor announced Tuesday.
Nicole Elizabeth Berger, Aramis Knight, Cyrus Arnold, Jason Patric and Tichina Arnold also star in the directorial debut of William Coakley, based on a script by Coakley, Christian Van Gregg, and Armand Constantine.
“Runt” made its world premiere at the 2020 Mammoth Film Festival where it received a standing ovation and the Audience Award. Boyce plays a high-school teenager who after a troubling incident takes a stand, which brings devastating consequences. The film tells a story of a group of neglected and misguided teenagers and addresses topics like bullying, unsupervised youth and the senselessness of violence.
“Cameron was incredibly proud of this film. We believe his powerful performance will resonate deeply with all of his fans,” Boyce’s parents, Victor and Libby Boyce, said in a statement.

For those who loved Cameron Boyce, May 28 marks an especially tough day. The actor, who passed suddenly in July 2019, would have celebrated his 22nd birthday today. Cameron's father, Victor Boyce, and his close friend and Descendants co-star, Dove Cameron, were among those who marked the milestone with touching social media tributes. Directed by Dan Mazer, an Oscar nominee for writing the “Borat” movies and the maker of “Dirty Grandpa,” the film follows a socially awkward but highly enterprising teenager who decides to acquire a “mail-order best friend.” While he hopes to find a sophisticated exchange student from France, he instead ends up importing his personal nightmare, a cologne-soaked, chain-smoking, sex-crazed guy, who quickly becomes a community hero. The movie stars Justin Hartley (“This Is Us”), Avan Jogia (“Zombieland: Double Tap”), Jennifer Irwin (“Bad Teacher”) and Ed Oxenbould (“Wildlife”). Emmy Award-winner Tim Long (“The Simpsons”) penned the script.
Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.
“Dan, Tim and the entire cast have created a laugh-out-loud comedy that audiences will unquestionably go crazy for,” said Quiver Distribution Co-Presidents Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman.

With a longer Oscar season than ever before, the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences had even more people to remember in the annual In Memoriam segment. But inevitably, there are complaints on social media that some people were omitted. This year, nether “Arrested Development” star Jessica Walter nor “Glee” star Naya Rivera was included, both of whom had careers primarily on television. Walter, however, was a Golden Globe nominee for “Play Misty for Me” and had many other film roles. Walter was included on the Academy’s In Memoriam website, while Rivera was not.
Those who were not included in previous years, such as Luke Perry and Cameron Boyce in 2020, also worked more often in television. In 2019, Carol Channing and Stanley Donen were among those omitted from the segment. This past year, several actors, musicians and craftspeople died of Covid-19, such as Broadway actor Nick Cordero and composer and musician Adam Schlesinger,...

Ash Avildsen is earning much cred as a multi-media mogul.
His past has seen him playing in a signed touring metal band (Reflux), starting the Sumerian Records label from his Los Angeles apartment, and now venturing into the world of film and television production -- all in spite of his famous father's legacy, not because of it.
With the recent premiere of his rockin' heavy metal riddled indie soap opera Paradise City, a sequel series following the 2017 film American Satan, dropping on Amazon Prime, he can add "TV showrunner" to his resume, along with actor and director.
We were psyched to shoot the shit with the guy and dig all sorts of juicy, crazy matter out of the successful, young entrepreneur's twisted head. Join us now for the journey:

“Paradise City,” a TV series which features late actor Cameron Boyce’s final on-screen appearance, just debuted on Amazon Prime Video. And as is customary for almost every streaming series that drops all at once these days, questions are already being asked about a potential Season 2 for the drama — including how it could possibly continue without its leading man.
“We’re definitely hoping to shoot a second season before the year is over, but there are a few factors we have to get through to see how soon that can happen,” series creator Ash Avildsen told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published Thursday. “With Cameron, his character really is the heartbeat for the audience. We’re all going on this ride with him as he discovers the world as an underdog. We’ll have to find someone amazing who can hopefully carry the character.”

In every season of “Dancing with the Stars,” the judges start out at their most strict, pointing out technical improvements the contestants could make from footwork to posture, but they always warm to the contestants over time. The scores gradually go up because of the increased proficiency of the celebs, yes, but sometimes there’s just flat-out inflation, so if the judges get too generous too fast, it gets to the point where receiving a perfect 10 just doesn’t mean as much anymore.
In season 29 the judges have actually been pretty conservative. The first 10 didn’t come out until Skai Jackson‘s week-four routine in honor of her late co-star Cameron Boyce. The first perfect 30 out of 30 didn’t come until Nev Schulman channeled “Black Swan” during “Villains Night” in week seven. I added up the YouTube views for the first three weeks of dances on “Dancing with the Stars,” and two of the bottom three celebs on the online video platform ended up as the bottom two when judges scores and viewer votes were combined on “Top 13” night.
