The folks at Bdhr Entertainment are proud to announce that they're about to begin production on their new three-part anthology film entitled Urban Legends. Read on for the details!
Just to be clear, this new movie has no affiliation with any other previous Urban Legend entitled film, lest anyone be confused. However, judging by some of the early promo images, this project certainly looks like it has promise. The three segments are "Deadly Girlfriend", "Dead Man's Bluff" and "Bloody Mary"…combine all three, and it sounds like an average Friday night/Saturday morning for Doctor Gash!
Urban Legends starts filming on July 6th in the state of Virginia. It is written and produced by onetime horror blogger Brandon Sites (Big Daddy Horror Reviews) and is directed by Travis Legge. For more check out the official Bdhr Entertainment website.
Each segment of the film has its own Facebook page as well.

Plenty of films deal with serial killers, alien invasions and marauding monsters - all fun stuff and great fodder for horror. The upcoming short Words Like Knives takes a more psychological approach, working in topics like bullying and mental cruelty. These are things that many individuals deal with on a daily basis, and they make great subjects for a horror film.
Words Like Knives was written by and stars Kelsey Zukowski and directed by Travis Legge. It costars Jeff Scaduto, Valerie Meachum, Myke Wilson, Melissa Revels, and Aley Kreinz.
Shooting is scheduled for April, 2012 in Rockford, Illinois, and you can follow its progress on the Words Like Knives Facebook page and the Words Like Knives Twitter feed (@RumorsCanKill).

Kelsey Zukowski is a talented young screenwriter/actress based in the Chicago area. In the past year the DePaul University graduate has made a name for herself in the indie film scene, especially in horror. I predict big things from Miss Zukowski! Check out my latest Versus with Kelsey Zukowski to learn more about her, some current projects and advice she has for you, oh and this thing called bacon.
Brian S- First off, who are you and where did you come from?
Kz- Hello, I’m Kelsey. I’m from Eastlake, Oh, a suburb outside if Cleveland. I’m extremely passionate about the horror genre and am a huge film fanatic. I really love writing and acting in interesting films that question the dynamics in human nature and societal norms. I tend to be attracted to the darker side of this, it’s just very enthralling for me to examine.

HorrorHound Weekend 2011, Indy was the most postive and fun I've experienced to date and I've hit quite a few film fests and conventions in my day. I know one thing, they expected 14,000 horror fans and there were more than that. I don't know if there's a final head count yet. Like always, I thought I'd share a few pictures with you and let you a know a little of what went down. I'm proud to say GeekTyrant had a huge presence at this HorrorHound! I want to personally thank Nathan from HorrorHound for letting me be a part of this and Jason Hignite for putting this together and helping to make it happen!
First up, I can' t think of a better way to say "Welcome to HorrorHound Weekend" then have actress and friend Erica Soto standing in front of one of the Hh banners!
Here's the cool Scream 4...

In a very short time, filmmaker Ron Purtee is becoming quite the expert on creating no-budget shorts. His first effort, Becoming Undead, garnered a lot of attention from Internet audiences and led to Purtee’s next project - The Social Media Massacre, which the filmmaker hopes will some day become a trilogy of films.
Dread Central recently caught up with Purtee to find out what some of his favorite independent genre flicks are.
1. Raymond Did It (Written/Directed by Travis Legge)
I had the pleasure of seeing this on the big screen, and it did not disappoint. It's a huge throwback to films like Prom Night and Halloween. And the kills? Well, the kills are some of the most inventive things I've ever seen. Made me not want to do my laundry for a week. My family was less than happy.
2. Frozen (Written/Directed by Adam Green)

When I sat down to watch the indie horror film Raymond Did It I really didn’t have high expectations, just being honest. What I got was a great horror movie from Travis Legge and company. The story is about a mentally challenged kid who gets blamed for his brothers death, he then gets shipped off to a hospital for years and then breaks out to get some revenge.
Kyle Hoskins plays Raymond and he pulls this character off really well even though he doesn’t say very much, he makes the character his own. His only friend is Tammy (Lindsay Felton) who is really the only likable character in the film, other than Raymond. When I say likable, I mean “good guy”. The rest just have it coming to them, you know the kind. Indie horror darling Elissa Dowling pulls her evil character Paige off perfectly! Makes you wonder,...
