U.K. broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a two-part documentary about embattled actor Kevin Spacey.
Spacey is currently fighting multiple claims of sexual assault in the U.K. courts. He is due to attend a second hearing next month with a trial likely to be set for the end of the year or early 2023.
He is also involved a civil case with actor Anthony Rapp, whose initial claim of sexual assault against Spacey in 2017 opened the floodgates for an array of subsequent allegations, resulting in a flurry of civil and criminal claims. That case is due to be heard in October this year in New York.
Tentatively titled “Spacey Unmasked,” the docu-series will be made by Roast Beef Productions (“Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer”) in association with All3Media. It will explore both Rapp’s case and the criminal proceedings in the U.K.

With this week’s ‘Star Trek Day’ at Bad Robot’s Us offices, and with nine minutes from Star Trek Into Darkness being previewed before IMAX screenings of The Hobbit as of today, information is finally leaking out about one of Hollywood’s most mysterious sequels. Of course, we’re only getting bits and pieces, but it’s enough for those of us who fancy ourselves Treksperts to take a stab at what the movie will eventually be about.
To make our guesses even more accurate (or to mislead us wildly), earlier this week HeyUGuys were invited to watch the nine minutes of preview footage, and to take part in an online press conference with uber secretive Director J.J. Abrams and cast members Chris Pine, Benedict Cumberbatch and Zachary Quinto. But before we delve into that, it seems sensible to give those who haven’t made it to the IMAX...

With shooting set to go forward in just a couple of weeks, this rush in Star Trek 2 casting might not slow down for… a couple of weeks, you could say. A few hours after Noel Clark was signed for the part of “a family man,” TrekMovie reports that Sherlock‘s Benedict Cumberbatch will, as confirmed by Variety, step into the antagonists shoe’s on J.J. Abrams‘ sequel.
The latest candidate was Carlos‘ Édgar Ramirez, who was being pursued after Benicio Del Toro was forced to leave on account of scheduling issues. I have no doubt he would’ve done a great job with whatever they gave him — and, in some ways, it’s a shame that he’s probably gone — but it’s reported that Cumberbatch “blew them all away” in his audition.
This stands as the biggest film role for the rising British star, who, along with the acclaimed BBC series,...

No word yet on who will play as the villain in J.J. Abrams Star Trek 2, but we hae word that Noel Clark (Mickey Smith in Doctor Who), has joined the cast of the highly anticipated sequel.
According to Variety, the actor will play as a “a family man with a wife and young daughter.” Like most of Abrams’ projects we won’t know too much about the character until we see a couple of trailers. But like my failed assumption that Peter Weller would play as the older supporting villain in the movie, I think someone will speculate that he will play has Uraha’s father in some flashbacks. Because we all know Abrams loves the flashbacks.
Star Trek 2 is on the road to filming and is scheduled to hit theaters, in IMAX and post converted 3D glory, on May 17, 2013.

Alex MacQueen scores a hat-trick, and the zest of youth that has nothing on the teachers
Hat-trick hero
It's a feat even Zelig couldn't pull off. English actor Alex MacQueen is not just appearing in Woody Allen's latest release, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (as publisher Malcolm Dodds) – he also has cameos in two other British films that hit the screens last Friday. He pops up in Chalet Girl, as a lecherous hedge-fund manager getting an embarrassing ski-sunglasses tan. Plus he makes the final cut in one scene of Adam Deacon's Anuvahood, playing a posh man living in a big house opposite the west London council estate where the action takes place.
Appearing in three films in a single week is possibly a record for a British actor. There must be a multiplex somewhere showing all three and it may seem that MacQueen is there in person,...
