Cam is on fire!
On Friday, the “Burning House” singer returned with her new single “Diane.” The Abba-meets-Fleetwood Mac jam serves as a response to Dolly Parton‘s 1973 please-don’t-take-my-man classic “Jolene.”
“Diane” is the first single off Cam’s forthcoming sophomore LP, due in 2018, and follows the success of her 2015 debut Untamed, which generated her Grammy-nominated hit “Burning House.”
The happily married Cam, 32, spoke to People exclusively about the track, cheating — and how Parton has inspired her career.

Drew Barrymore just made her music-video debut — and the song couldn’t be more perfect.
Singer Sza released the music video for her latest single, “Drew Barrymore,” on Tuesday, which features a special cameo by none other than the 42-year-old actress herself.
In the clip, Sza roams New York City, stopping by a pizza shop, laundromat and a house party before running into her favorite actress.
Barrymore’s surprise appearance arrives around the 2:15 mark, as the singer is sitting alone outside.
And while Sza is clearly a big fan of the actress, the feeling is mutual.

Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino stopped by The Daily Show Wednesday night to discuss music industry sexism and her accusations of sexual misconduct against music publicist Heathcliff Berru.
Cosentino's talk with host Trevor Noah comes four months after she publicly supported the Dirty Projectors' Amber Coffman, who was the first in what later turned into a series of women to share her story about being allegedly harassed and assaulted by Berru. Inspired by Coffman, Cosentino and many other women in the industry shared their stories, which later led to...

Bethany Cosentino is a rock musician, but did you know she's also a woman? It's true! In an essay for Lenny Letter, the Best Coast singer takes aim at the wide variety of sexism she faces in the music industry, starting with the niggling annoyance of the undying women-in-rock question, and ending with full-blown sexual harassment. "I just want to be able to exist and make music without people asking me the question, 'So what is it like to be a girl in a band?'" she writes, adding that she once walked out of an Q&A session after her male interviewer told her, "You really don’t see many female rock stars with guitars." One male concert reviewer spent his column inches wondering why she wasn't smiling more. "Though a sexist review is certainly not the same as getting sexually harassed or assaulted over the course of a decade,...

Amazon's new original children's show, A History of Radness, follows twin middle-schoolers Jack (Isaak Presley) and Tessie (Marlhy Murphy) as they form a rock band and the pilot episode, written by Andrew Green (Hannah Montana), is available to stream for free.
The series features impressive music credentials: Former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha composed the score; Dan Reynolds (Imagine Dragons) and Bethany Cosentino (Best Coast) narrate the episodes and rock legend Henry Rollins delivers a funny cameo in the pilot as a bizarre cross-country coach.

Henry Rollins, who once encouraged disenfranchised youth to "Spray Paint (The Walls)" and throw TV parties, may seem like an unlikely choice to be cast in a children's show, but that's not stopping producers from recruiting the Black Flag singer to guest star in a potential new Amazon series called A History of Radness. Rollins isn't the only big-name rocker that Radness has added: Former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha will score the series, while Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino and Imagine Dragons' Dan Reynolds are set to provide narration.

Since Best Coast debuted with 2010's Crazy for You, the L.A. duo of Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno has enjoyed steady buzz in the indie-music scene, which continued with 2012's The Only Place and last year's Ep, Fade Away. 5) Dutch Uncles “Flexxin”
Dir: ?
With the same level of commitment to selling a song as Thom Yorke, singer Duncan Wallis oozes cool when he busts some moves in this indie ode to dance. Whilst I’m not usually a fan of dull back drops or performance based videos, the black background works in Wallis’ favour. The simple visuals and right amount of well executed cuts compliment this chirpy, indie pop tune perfectly. Both channeling their inner Napoleon Dynamite, I would love to see Yorke and Wallis have a dance-off.
4) Young Fathers “Romance”
Dir: Young Fathers
There is not enough well done black and white videos out there. It’s a hard thing to perfect, some videos look great stripped of colour but they aren’t that visually interesting (Lana Del Rey’s “Blue Jeans” is the first example that springs to mind) but with “Romance” this isn’t the case at all.

The two of them together is a visual treat full of wistful moments.
14) The Only Place – Best Coast
Director: Ace Norton
This fun video for the upbeat comeback single from Best Coast accompanies the love letter to California vibe the track has going on perfectly. The California-obsessed duo cruise around the state as we see them indulge in fun activities such as leave their mark, smash TVs and make blended beverages.
13) Blue Velvet – Lana Del Rey
Director: Johan Renck
As the face of H&M’s fashion collection for Autumn 2012, Renck and Lana teamed up for this beautifully eerie, Lynch-esque music video/advert.

One of the year's biggest music successes wasn't defined by millions of record sales, arena tours or even a controversial headline. He simply released a music video.
Korean entertainer Psy became a worldwide sensation with his video for "Gangnam Style," a cheeky commentary on a wealthy Korean district in South Korea rapped entirely in Korean. It's humorous, over-the-top and includes a signature dance move that rivals the popularity of the Macarena.
Since the video's release in July, the video has surpassed Justin Bieber's "Baby" as the most-viewed clip on the internet, raking in approximately 990,900,000 views and counting.
By way of Australia, musician Gotye also hit it big this year with a hit single "Somebody That I Used to Know." Although strong sales helped bolster Wally De Backer's success, the 350 million views on YouTube for the music video also did wonders for the band's popularity. So much so that...

"The sun is setting behind the Golden Gate right now," mused electronic music producer Matthew Dear as he gazed at the early evening light glimmering from the San Francisco skyline. "This is really special. You can't find this at any other festival."
Dear and his band had arrived just in time for their 3 p.m. Saturday set at the Treasure Island Music Festival and boarded a flight back home to New York less than 12 hours later, but their quick jaunt to California was enough for them to experience the Bay at its absolute best.
Indeed, the weather gods smiled down upon the two-day festival, which featured a gamut of performers, from high-energy electronica acts like The Presets and Sbtrkt to mellow indie pop like Best Coast and Youth Lagoon. The homogenously-hipster crowd basked in the sun, crammed in the photo booth, rode the ferris wheel and reveled in the spectacle.

How hot is meta, grown-up James Van Der Beek? So hot that his interview on Conan last night got interrupted by an actual fire alarm.
One minute, Van Der Beek was describing his douchey Don’t Trust the B—– in Apt. 23 character and complimenting Conan O’Brien’s high, tight butt — the next, their conversation was pierced by a high-pitched screeching sound. “So let me get this straight, James Van Der Beek,” Conan joked as the alarm grew louder. “You wait 14 years — 14 years — ’til it’s safe to come back on this show” — the host and the former teen idol...

A few weeks ago, America’s collective shaming of NBC was approaching gratuitous levels. How many times can a nation complain about Ryan Seacrest’s Olympics interviews? But by now, the wave of criticism has ebbed — meaning that we can once more enjoy well-worded Peacock disses, especially if they’re delivered in Bob Costas’s dulcet tones.
The sportscaster visited his ex network-mate Conan O’Brien last night. In between anecdotes about Yogi Berra and his old job as an encyclopedia salesman, Costas was asked if he was pleased, in the end, with NBC’s London telecasts. That led Costas...

Nominations for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards have just been announced, with fan favorites The Hunger Games and Bridesmaids leading the pack with eight nods each, going neck to neck in categories "Movie of the Year," "Best Cast" and "Breakthrough Performance."
The typically Twilight-centric awards show surprisingly only included two nominations for Breaking Dawn -- Part 1, including "Movie of the Year" and a "Best Kiss" nod for Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, which the real-life couple has nabbed three years in a row.
Kristen Wiig, Jennifer Lawrence and Melissa McCarthy are the most nominated ladies of the night with four nominations each, while Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill and Josh Hutcherson are the most nominated males, also with four nods apiece.

Season 1, Episode 3: "All Adventurous Women Do"
"Try and give less of a shit," guest star Jorma Taccone says during the third episode of "Girls," and it's advice Hannah (Lena Dunham) and Marnie (Allison Williams) eventually learn to take to heart. But not without seeing some major changes re-orient their respective sex lives first.
While "All Adventurous Women Do" zeroes in on Hannah and Marnie, it does so by rather inelegantly pushing Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) to the sidelines. The former goes off on a babysitting gig for a child belonging to Kathryn Hahn, who is utterly wasted in a cameo playing a documentary filmmaker, making a picture about the homeless. It's kind of a bummer to see someone so funny and talented who isn't given much to do. Jessa arrives dressed to work, essentially, in her underwear, a gag that is set up and then pretty much goes nowhere.

It's officially a month into 2011 now, so all of us can take a step back and see where we're standing on all those wonderful New Year's resolutions that seemed so noble and important four weeks ago. Well, not me. I didn't make any New Year's resolutions because when you manage to sprain an ankle and break a finger on New Year's Eve, I think that counts as a massive goddamn hint about what the universe has to say about your near future. In my case, what it was mostly saying was that I'd spend the first several weeks of 2011 alternately frustrated and in pain, with a high chance of having a finger that will be stuck at an angle best described as "jaunty." You should all be so lucky. So let's hear how the resolutions are or aren't coming along and in the meantime here's your Monday night TV:
