That sweet and innocent-looking friendly neighborhood Spider-Man guy from Marvel, who rampaged about spilling spoilers during interviews out of excitement, seems to be gone now. Looking at Tom Holland in the latest look for his Romeo & Juliet play seems a lot different than his usual happy-go-lucky ones. In fact, he feels completely different after witnessing him with his on-stage love interest for the play, Francesca Amewudah-Rivers.
Tom Holland in a still from The Devil All The Time.
However, fans aren’t clamoring in support of this duo, especially for their pairing up for the stage as the iconic couple from Shakespeare’s lore. This comes after the first look images of Holland and Amewudah-Rivers as their respective characters were released, which, unarguably, have been garnering quite a bit of sarcastic and terribly negative reviews and backlash from fans.

Oh, we've been eagerly awaiting The Rookie's return.
There are some high expectations for The Rookie Season 6 Episode 7 as we're left to wonder about the state of Chenford and how Lucy and Tim will interact with one another since their controversial breakup.
It was an act that left fans reeling, many bordering on angry, as Tim pushed Lucy away after a harrowing experience.
Hopefully, we can anticipate that the upcoming episode will pick up where The Rookie Season 6 Episode 6 left off or close to it, and we can face the aftermath of the various events that have seriously impacted Tim Bradford's life.
As mentioned in the promo, Sergeant Grey doesn't mince words to remind Bradford that within the past week, he's dealt with a demotion from his position at Metro due to his misconduct and also broke up with Lucy.

The former Barcelona teammates will be the headline acts in Wednesday night’s clash at Inter Miami’s renamed Chase stadium in Fort Lauderdale, though they are not guaranteed starters.

Messi missed much of Inter Miami’s pre-season because of an adductor strain while Suarez has overcome a knee problem.
The other half of Inter Miami’s contingent of former Barcelona stars – defender Jordi Alba and midfielder Sergio Busquets – will also be available after recovering from recent injury concerns, reports Xinhua.

In the weeks leading up to the start of his $250 million civil fraud trial in New York, Donald Trump and his attorneys privately discussed how they believed defeat in this trial was preordained. Their best chance — and it wasn’t much, according to two sources familiar with the matter and another two people briefed on internal deliberations — would be to fight the case on appeal.
This belief led to the development of an approach to the case that centers around chaos and cacophony, rather than any attempt to win it on the merits.

The 2024 presidential race already has its first candidate to drop out: Miami Mayor Francis Suarez.
The GOP contender announced on Tuesday that he was suspending his campaign, which failed to gain traction amid a large field of alternatives to front runner Donald Trump. Suarez failed to qualify for the first presidential debate last week, something that also may prove to be a reckoning for other candidates absent from the stage.
“While I have decided to suspend my campaign for President, my commitment to making this a better nation for every American remains,” Suarez said in a statement posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“I will continue to amplify the voices of the Hispanic community – the fastest-growing voting group in our country. The Left has taken Hispanics for granted for far too long, and it is no surprise that so many are finding a home in America’s conservative movement.

Gary King, one of the stars of Bravo‘s reality series Below Deck Sailing Yacht, has been accused of sexual misconduct by a former production team member. Samantha Suarez, who first joined the reality franchise as part of the makeup department, spoke to Rolling Stone about an alleged incident in which a drunk King forced himself on her and refused to let her leave his hotel room. The incident she described came in the summer of 2022 during Sailing Yacht‘s fourth season while filming in Sardinia, Italy. In addition to doing hair and makeup, Suarez said she also helped the talent manager with day-to-day tasks, such as ensuring cast members were sequestered in their hotel rooms and bringing them food and water since they couldn’t leave their rooms due to Covid protocols. One “dark day,” when the camera crew members were recording confessional interviews rather than filming on the boat,...

The Below Deck franchise was praised earlier this month for its handling of a sexual misconduct scandal.
Now, a staffer for Below Deck: Sailing Yacht is speaking out about her experience with longtime cast member Gary King.
Samantha Suarez, a makeup artist on the fourth season of the Bravo hit, revealed that she also helped a talent manager with day-to-day tasks.
Suarez told Rolling Stone that she first met King at a hotel in Sardinia that was used to keep the cast sequestered due to Covid protocols when the cameras weren't filming.
Samantha recalled a day she led King back to his room after filming interviews for the show.

Suarez found his backbone!
He always had one, but since getting involved in Sharpe's campaign, he has been toeing the line more than he should, practically letting Sharpe run the department.
But when Suarez's mistake went viral on East New York Season 1 Episode 15, he'd finally had enough. It was about time he stood up for his department instead of putting political ambitions first.
g
Although Suarez's anger toward Sharpe was long overdue, this problem was partially Suarez's fault.
Would he have stopped to confront those allegedly lazy cops if he wasn't trying to score political points? He pulled over to yell at them while Allison was on a ride-along; don't tell me he wasn't trying to impress her.

Suarez thought the same thing Allison did: confronting those cops would demonstrate that he was the kind of leader the NYPD needs.

On TV, no one wants a surprise visit from their parents.
East New York Season 1 Episode 15 won't buck tradition in this respect. According to spoilers, Quinlan's mother will show up while Quinlan is trying to figure out her relationship with Bentley.
It couldn't come at a worse time, either, with the 7-4 embroiled in a contentious case involving a battle over gentrification.
The series was going to have to confront gentrification sooner or later. It's an issue that all poor, mostly-minority neighborhoods have to deal with.
Gentrification happens when rich, often white, developers purchase significant property in a poor neighborhood. These developers make improvements that drive up property values and make the area more attractive to wealthier people -- who move in and squeeze out the people living there.

Like it or not, politics plays a huge role in police leadership.
Regina is East New York's equivalent to Blue Bloods' Frank Reagan; she doesn't care about politics and does what she thinks is right.
Unfortunately, she's not in charge. And on East New York Season 1 Episode 13, Suarez made it clear that he'll do whatever it takes to keep Sharpe happy and put himself in the running for the Police Commissioner position.
Suarez cared what the police union thought because that's what Sharpe cared about. And the police union won't want solo foot patrols.
There are some excellent reasons to be concerned about this policy, and Regina should be able to answer people's objections. Officers patrolling without partners are at greater risk of injury or ambush, so she needs to explain how she will protect officer safety.

Will Regina's past be a help or a hindrance as the 7-4 investigates a potential arson?
According to spoilers for East New York Season 1 Episode 13, she'll rely on a fire marshal and a medical examiner with ties to the past. But will these people be able to help?
Regina might also have more to worry about after she enacts a new policy without consulting Suarez, who has been in talks with Sharpe about assisting with Sharpe's mayoral bid.
We don't know a lot about Regina's pre-leadership life. She had a friendship with Suarez and a father who abruptly quit the NYPD for reasons he doesn't discuss, but that's about it.
Regina likely faced racism as she moved up through the ranks. She had to learn who her allies were to be as successful as she is.

The Equalizer viewers have come to know Mel as a no-nonsense, butt-kicking aide to Robyn. But during the CBS show’s winter premiere, which aired Sunday, she’s the one in need of support.
The situation is a little awkward, given that Robyn is still angry that Mel trained Delilah behind her back. But there’s no time for tough conversations; Mel’s brother, Edison, is missing. Read on for a recap of “He Ain’t Heavy.”

Exclusive: Kelly Hu has joined the cast of the CBS series East New York in a recurring role. She will make her debut in episode 112 titled “Up in Smoke,” airing February 19.
She will play Allison Cha, a tenacious and straightforward political policy advisor brought into shadow Suarez (Jimmy Smits) to understand the day-to-day duties of the NYPD.
From William Finkelstein and Mike Flynn, East New York follows Regina Haywood (Amanda Warren), the newly promoted deputy inspector of East New York, an impoverished, working-class neighborhood at the eastern edge of Brooklyn. She leads a diverse group of officers and detectives, some of whom are reluctant to deploy her creative methods of serving and protecting during the midst of social upheaval and the early seeds of gentrification.
The series also stars Jimmy Smits, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Richard Kind, Olivia Luccardi, and Lavel Schley.

Nobody ever said reforming the 7-4 would be easy.
Suarez has often toed the line, making political decisions and convincing Regina to back off when necessary so that she could continue working on her new vision for the precinct.
But did he go too far on East New York Season 1 Episode 11? Suarez gave in to a union trustee's demand that Regina leaves a misbehaving officer alone, and Regina isn't likely to take that sitting down.
Jankowicz represented the worst of police politics. Protecting officers' rights is one thing, but a union trustee actively interfering with an investigation into an officer who has abused his power on multiple occasions is another.
The trustee sees Regina as a problem instead of police misconduct, and he's trying to manipulate Suarez into taking his side. Is it working?

We like to think that justice means every criminal is convicted and every victim feels satisfied.
But is this utopian ideal even desirable?
East New York Season 5 Episode 7 suggested that it wasn't, using two cases that seemed unrelated on the surface to make its point.
It seemed like an open-and-shut case when Antonia was caught with blood on her shirt minutes after shooting a supermarket owner.
But it didn't even take until the first commercial break for Regina and Morales to realize there was a lot more to the story.

If it were simply that Antonia killed a man who raped her, that probably wouldn't fly in a court of law. But add in the fact that the Svd (not to be confused with the more idealistic and dedicated-to-justice detectives over on Law & Order: Svu) buried this case because,...

Sunday can't get here fast enough.
If spoilers are any indication, East New York Season 1 Episode 7 will be as strong, if not even stronger, than the one before it!
This latest installment will feature two cold cases, most likely dropped because the old Deputy Inspector didn't give a damn about people living in East New York's poorest neighborhoods.
When Morales and Killian catch a shooting at a supermarket opening, something seems familiar about it to Morales.
According to spoilers, she suspects this act of violence is related to an old case of hers that the brass pressured her to drop.

Reopening it could get her into more trouble; if police administrators or the mayor's office pressured her to drop that case, they wouldn't want it coming out that they screwed up.

Jimmy Smits fans, this is your week.
Smits is a big name who has so far had only a small role, popping up to encourage Regina or to suggest she be careful of alienating Deputy Mayor Sharpe.
That's about to change. East New York Season 1 Episode 6 spoilers say that Chief Suarez will find himself in hot water, which likely means more screen time for Smits' character.
Suarez's troubles are slated to begin when an arrest goes viral.
It's highly unlikely that the aging chief, who is more or less an administrator now, will make the controversial arrest himself. However, he's in charge of the entire NYPD East New York branch, so if any officer under him does something questionable, he likely has to answer for it.

This week on CBS’ East New York, it’s Deputy Inspector Regina Haywood’s birthday — though there’s a frightful development that may have her worrying about lasting another trip around the sun.
In the sneak peek above from this Sunday’s episode — which airs at a special time, 8/7c — Regina (played by Amanda Warren) is pulled away from some birthday revelry to be asked some circuitous questions by Chief John Suarez (Jimmy Smits) and US Marshal David Westlake (guest star Lee Tergesen). Puzzled, Regina urges the gents to make clear their need to interrupt her after-hours life, at which...

Let's talk about the blue line of silence.
After Bentley was arrested by a racist cop on East New York Season 1 Episode 4, Sandeford disapproved of him filing a formal complaint because of the "cop code."
Sandeford found another way for Bentley to settle the score, but was that the right solution?
The cop was clearly in the wrong.
He argued that Bentley caused himself these problems by getting out of his car and confronting the guy. While it's true that Bentley should have stayed in his vehicle, would the cop have reacted the same way if he was dealing with a white cop who had forgotten his ID?
View Slideshow: New Amsterdam Final Season Photos: Moving On
There was no question as to the cops' motives. Not only did both Bentley and Sandeford point out that he couldn't possibly know that Bentley was a cop who didn't have his required...
