Harvey Keitel is the perfect actor for a role this intense. Not only does he evoke a sense of thorough evil, he also can flesh out the character's dichotomy between wanting to be good and realizing that he is weak. The scene in the church where he begs for forgiveness is intense. We sense the man's deep desire for redemption. The whole movie was able to give us a view of how the evil live life. Not for the weak hearted- a movie that will challenge your values.
