Martial arts / U.F.C. freakazoids will go nuts over the bloody gore and immortal body battles displayed here in SHOOTFIGHTER. Of high interest is the semi-reunion of actors William Zabka and Martin Kove, who are best remembered in THE KARATE KID. Of greater interest is legendary martial arts star Bolo Yeung. So what? I've seen a lot of other "no rules arena fighting" movies using similar plots, choreography, and brutally violent effects, and it's not so different, only this time I was watching a different movie. To top it all off, it's pretty lame and senseless. Don't get mocked by "UNRATED" labels printed on videotape boxes! SHOOTFIGHTER does not set any new and unified standards!
