Cannibal! The musical? Can this be any good? Well it must at least be gory! Those were my thirst thoughts before I popped a crusty old copy of it into my VCR. Immediately I was assaulted with some rather tasty gore. Thing's don't really continue in the same vein though, this isn't a goreflick but it is, if not best, at least the funniest musical I've seen. Alferd Packer and his friends are setting out for a journey after gold, but things start to go wrong. In the beginning, an old, creepy man tells them "You're DOOMED. DOOOOOMED." numerous of times, and yep, things go wrong alright. For the guys that is, the movie just gets better from here.
The acting is so extremely over-the-top that you can't keep yourself from start laughing. The songs are mostly fun, especially "Let's build a snowman", I laughed so hard that my lunch almost came up. Most thing's are good here but the movie somehow feels a bit too long, repeated watching shows that this movie only improves upon each viewing. Due to some bad pacing it can sometimes be a bit far between the jokes. Still, this is well worth watching and fans of South Park or Monthy Pyton should love this one. At least I do. This is shortly put, the best Monty Python movie that the Pythons never made.
