I inadverdently saw the film twice, and actually liked it better the second time around! I've read a lot of the comments below (geez 183 it's up to!) and nowhere did I see my original reaction. I just didn't think it was that great, and I was especially annoyed at the ending... I wanted to yell at him up on screen "DON'T DO IT!" (sorry if that is too specific)
However, this is a second opinion, and obviously is different... First, to sell the film they obviously had to tie things up - so to speak (had to??? hmmmmm). Yet I saw more reasons for the ending the second time around. It really held up, I wasn't bored, I still laughed a lot (espec. at the flatmate and sister!) and I came out pleased.
One big beef though, both times around: are we theater-goers so unintelligent or so banal that they have to THROW the happy-ending, wrap-it-all-up, garbage in our faces??? Why did they not end at the press conference??? Why do we have to see all that extra junk at the end. I could figure that out myself, thanks.
All in all enjoyed it, and it was actually worth the money.
