If you've seen movies like "Volcano" and "Twister", this is like it. It's about Mother Nature's least expected. Who would expect an earthquake in New York? The special effects were great, and the actors, especially Cynthia Gibb, did a wonderful job. It really should've been rated TV-14 because of its special effects. But I have to say that the plot was excellent.
