Just saw it a few days ago at a film festival and first I thought: just another one of those "Scary Movie"-like flicks and I could not laugh. But after some time I found myself laughing and making strange noises. I think the secret of this movie is that Oedekerk just did what ever he wanted without worrying if it might be too bad. Because he knows that stupidity is sometimes funny. More stupidity is often just bad and boring (Scary Movie) but if you just go further and further with it the laughing returns again. I loved it. But I also have the impression that it might be boring, when you watch it alone. It only works, if you watch it together with people. I loved it! It's just too stupid...!
