Review of Grosse Pointe

Grosse Pointe (2000–2001)
Perfect!
10 August 2001
I think the main thing to keep in mind here is that this show is a satire of the schlock aimed at the self-esteem-lacking teen market. That's what makes it a very smart series. That, and the fact that it is made by someone who obviously knows the genre inside out, adds value. Is it true that Mr Spelling tried to have this taken off the air because he was worried that bits of it were [allegedly] aimed at a certain cleavage-challenged teen queen? Shame! They deserve to have the fun poked out of them at every opportunity, I think. To quote a line from the last episode I saw, they can all "go home and cry into their big bags of money".
