Robin Williams plays Sy Parrish a lonely photo store tech, who is interested in a family through their photographs went too far. He follow them and watch their every move they make. Suddenly Sy finds the family not so perfect as he see them, when the husband has an affair. To Sy photography is more than a job/hobby it is obsession. His loneness to sadness into anger for the family whose photos he has on the wall of the apartment. He not knows when the fantasy end and reality to begin.

End of possible spoiler.

I think the family characters nicely explained in movie, but Sy needed more little screen time to understand how he was when he younger. This movie is not for everyone taste and for younger audience than 17 years. The film is hard to describe, nevertheless it is interesting and haunted images of people. Mark Romanek directed/written unusually piece of work not usually seen in cinema today or in any other decade. One day this movie will be a classic in years to come.
