Ricky Tomlinson vehicle

Well acted - certainly, but the depressing northern English setting and heavyily accented language is not to everyone's taste.

This is UK TV made for the UK and without any of the self-mocking humour of The Royal Family - sadly.

Ricky is 'the nice guy' helping solve the current local problems such as child molestation, suicide and insurance scams - often accompanied by his recently found son.

From this side of the world it looks like it's taking itself too seriously.
