Fun but unbelievable

Catch That Kid is not without its good points. For children, it's fun, humorous, and full of adventure. If you watch it just on the surface, it can be quite entertaining.

However, the film is very unbelievable. First of all, how is it possible that a bunch of kids can rob what's supposed to be a high-tech bank, even if the security systems aren't fully ready? Secondly, could a bank official really be so sloppy as to let a kid see him type the password? And thirdly, how could Maddy's father be perfectly fine one minute, then suddenly fall down paralyzed?

The many unbelievable events pale in comparison to the unbelievable heroine, Maddy. She lies, manipulates, and steals to get what she wants. Even if her overall intentions are good, the ends do not justify the means. Kids who watch this movie may think it's okay to lie if you have to, which is simply not true.

So in conclusion, the sheer idiocy makes it so this movie can only be enjoyed by little kids who don't know better and their half-asleep parents.
