Overblown action, little plot, awful dialogue and poor characterisation, with stock figures such as 'Carl' make this a very poor effort. For much of the film I thought I was seeing a very inferior version of LOTR. Stunning though Kate Beckinsale looked, even that was not a good enough reason to see this film. I liked both the 'Mummy' films, and know that this shouldn't be taken seriously, but it should at least be done well. Please don't make a sequel - though given the quite full theatre I saw it in, I've no doubt that they will. Surely it can't be any worse that this ?
Btw - who was doing Mr Hyde in Notre Dame ? I couldn't remember his name, but his face rang a bell !
