Who knew that the Ladies Room on the Staten Island ferry had given rise to a whole little sub-culture? This documentary lets the members of that sub-culture speak for themselves and, in less time than it would take for two ferry trips, a rich story emerges. Quite a varied cast of working women have managed to form a little community complete with dress codes, rules of behavior, factions, and an oral tradition. A most enjoyable glimpse of an unusual community.
