Icelandic comedy caper with early 90s hard rock soundtrack. (spoilers)

Warning: Spoilers
Remote Control is a fun film, maybe funnier if there wasn't that cultural divide that kept me from figuring out some of the stuff going on in the story. Basically, it is the story of a mother who calls her son at work looking for her remote control. In trying to retrieve the remote, however, or at least obtain an inexpensive knock-off, he suddenly becomes part of chase between a fellow who sell stolen goods and a bunch of moronic thugs. (I love the scene at the end where the braindead metal head guys take the mom out of the house while she's sleeping and send her off in the river because leaving in the parking lot would be too noisy). With some amusing subplots inserting themselves here and there in the film, it is quite an enjoyable comedy.

Not to mention, I actually got a small look at Iceland through this film, which I have only before in "No Such Thing," a recent drama/comedy filmed (to some extent) in the same country. Plus, the movie has a great soundtrack reminiscent of early 90s grunge for us Yankee blokes.
