Brigitte taught the young Colinot that love is not always synonymous with eroticism
29 July 2005
In 1973, Bardot made two final attempts to resuscitate her career, with "Mrs. Don Juan," directed by Vadim, and Nina Companeez' "Colinot trousse-chemise."

Vadim once again presented Bardot as an amoral woman compelled to satisfy all of her desires… In the Companeez film however, Brigitte taught the young Colinot that love is not always synonymous with eroticism…This film seemed to be an excellent way to conclude her career which had been formed around Bardot the sex object…

"I would like to stop when I am older – 35 – I have never wanted to play old women," Brigitte announced to the magazine "L'Express" in 1956… She has remained true to that testimony, but is still one of the world's leading symbols of natural love and the freedom to lead life however one may choose
