Deuce Bigalow 2: Don't bother
14 August 2005
Warning: Spoilers
In 2 words: Don't Bother

I didn't go into this film looking for Citizen Kane, but looking for some laughs, as well as the usual off-color humor. What I didn't expect is the baseless ridicule of handicapped people.

I saw a film that had poor acting, inept sexual humor, worn-out roles, and overall, an immature plot that got worse as the movie went on.

Deuce Bigelow (Rob Schneider) travels to Europe to avoid the police after his invention causes havoc with some dolphins and blind senior citizens. What a great way to start a movie: blind people getting mangled by dolphins!

Duece tries to assist his pimp friend TJ (Eddie Griffin) who is falsely accused of being a serial murderer, gets mixed up with the Inspector's daughter Eva (Hanna Verboom) who has OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disease) and is put up for ridicule each time she has a seizure. Its supposed to be funny, but misses the mark completely and makes fun of those that may be effected by this disorder.

Many of the "jokes" were just plain wrong. Leave out the Penis-nose and the throat hole. If these are the only things funny that you can find to write about, do us all a favor and go away!

In the end, Duece saves the day by finding the bomb which is slated to destroy all the members of the Man-Whore Society.

My rating: 2 stars out of 10

At least the popcorn was good, and the theater was air-conditioned. And I'm thankful that I paid matinée prices to get in. It's not worth full-price admission.
