this film is great. i saw it on a recommendation and i am so glad that i saw it. it has great insight into the gang problem that was in LA in the early 90's. the story is very well written and all of the actors do a phenomenal job portraying their characters. if you have not seen this movie you should. there is a little something in it for everyone, although it is mostly a drama. there is a love story in it also and of course there is action in it, with the gun fights and all. the plot is basically straightforward. Cuba Gooding Jr wants to get out of LA and basically does all he can to be a good kid while his friends dabble in life. all in all it is a great movie and i strongly recommend it.
