Walter Hill gives us a fairly entertaining boxing/prison movie with Undisputed. The heavyweight champion (Ving Rhames) is sent to prison on rape charges (but was he really guilty?). When he arrives, he finds that this prison holds routine boxing matches for the inmates and that they have a champion of their own (Wesley Snipes), a former heavyweight contender himself. Of course, after a fistful of confrontations and mafia involvement, the big fight is on! Undisputed is perhaps rare in that you can root for both men, though it doesn't cop-out with the results either. I wonder how the upcoming sequel will compare
probably not even close.
