The Soporific Conspirary
8 September 2005
This is an ITV-dubbed version which seems to have been shorn of half an hour, judging by the running time listed here. However, as the basic premise - Aussie journalist sticks his nose too far into a mystery surrounding the consignment of some nuclear waste on its way to Oz - is rendered with as much paranoiac hysteria as the vague recollection that you may have left your change on the counter at the local corner shop; truncation is clearly a blessing.

Crammed full of attention-alienating long shots designed for no apparent purpose other than to make post-synch international dubbing less of a headache, this is neither pictorially or actorily interesting enough to suggest that Lee was recruited - and accordingly performs - as if he were in it for anything other than the money.
