In her memoirs ,BB wrote that the director was so dreadful that she and Annie Girardot had to call to Claude Chabrol for help;after all,the script was written by Paul Gégauff, who had worked with that director ("les cousins" "Que la bête meure" and more).
It could have been a very funny farce:BB is a nun on the run who meets a hooker Mona Lisa (Girardot) who teaches the naive girl her trade .They work in an ambulance and they take in a dog ,Snoopy (Every BB flick features an animal).Spiteful gossips said the pet stole the show at the time ,and as for the actresses,French critics favored -a little- Girardot over Bardot in what they called a display of mediocrity. They were not wrong.
