G.I. Joe: The Movie (1987 Video)
7/10
One of the better of the G.I. Joe adventures

There were parts of the show that were rather child like, this nearly made up for it by giving a background to Cobra. While it clashed with the comic origins, it still was done quite well. The guest voices such as Sgt. Slaughter (who had been part of the last season), Burgess Meredith, and Don Johnson (who denies that he did this film) added to the story as did the enhanced art. The art through the television show was lacking in a number of areas, scenes repeating, choppy scenes, but this was nearly movie quality animation.

As done in the second and third season of the show, there are of course characters who stand out. I was a little confused since many of the "new recruits" seemed to be civilians, still not bad characters, even if they were a little too stereotypical. All in all, a great movie for any gi joe or any other 80's animation fan.
