This movie is so touching. It makes you realize just how little you might know about the people around you. The movie presents adultery in a realistic light. The viewer understands Francesca's actions and sympathizes with the difficult situation she finds herself in. In the end, we are heartbroken for her but also for her husband. The point of view of both sides is given and it's easy to sympathize with both. This movie made me cry more than any other and I still love watching it after countless times. It is a story that stays with you and this is, in part, a testament to the excellent performances by Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood.
