The Break-Up (2006)
3/10
forgettable

'The Breakup" is a film about an unlikely couple who share an apartment and who end up breaking up. The film follows their break-up and their behaviours during the break-up. The film does succeed in providing some funny material, but all of it is mainly forgotten as the film drags on with the same material. In short, it gets old quickly. The other problem with the film is its difficulty expressing why the characters should be together because they are so different, and I was amazed that they survived long enough to get an apartment together.

In short, the film lacks substance, but there are a few areas that are funny. Overall, I think that there are much better romantic comedy films, and this one does seem to drag on and on with its loss for different material appearing quite quickly in the film. It's one of those films that will be forgotten quickly.
