Not a comedy, but a good drama with a comedic side-tone

My kids and I sat down to watch an Eddie Murphy/ "nutty professor" type movie. This is definitely that kind of show. It was actually a thought-inspiring semi-realistic view of contemporary social issues and problems. Acting was good and story was fairly well thought out. Blair Underwood did an exceptionally good job portraying Carlos. He came across as being a very clean cut upstanding person until the door was closed. Then his true identity came out. Unfortunately, this is exactly how his type of character exists in real life. This was the first of the Madea" series of movies that I have seen. I will definitely watch another "madea" movie.
