Very silly film about an out of work actor who resurrects his career on the stage and finds true love with the nurse who gives him his hay fever injections.
Emma Thompson is quite likable as the nurse in question, while Jeff Goldblum is okay as "The Tall Guy". Unfortunately Rowan Atkinson deprives us of seeing his real comic genius in full flight.
Smith's film is very ridiculous - but that was probably the idea - and the comedy rather patchy, and often fairly stupid. Hilarity eventuates though, in the form of an unusual sex scene and a riotous sequence involving a nutty psychiatrist and a series of four needles.
