Just The Wrong Choice !
29 October 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I thought that she shouldn't choose the one who looked like her; in past, marks, circumstances.. etc. Because this may be a mutual narcissism. You're just looking for the one who is relatively differing from you, having whatever attracts you; so the positive attracts the negative in physics. In brief, we fall in love - forever this time - with whoever completes us, and maybe all of that applies to the character of the intellectual very patient first date, regarding that he tolerated (Lucy) in her worst states ever, didn't take advantage of her, and - above all - he has virtues that she doesn't have as he learns from her too!

The script avoided him as the winner of (Lucy)'s heart, whether because she didn't fall in love with him, or to make sure that this was a character that turned into a better person because of her, unlike her relationships with all the rest of the men / dates, hence she was the one who was influenced by them.

The movie itself was super fun as a fine new plot, with an engaging performance from everybody, especially (Monica Potter) who's so lovely and sensitive. Strange that a lot of people say that she is the young copy of (Julia Roberts), or that she is doing the kind of roles that (Meg Ryan) done. Well, they're all mistaken, and all of that talk is pure nonsense. (Potter) is on her own, like no other, but unfortunately has bad luck all over her career, which had TV shows and independent movies more than any mainstream movies.

Anyway, although I believe that there is no rules in love, but I always thought that this lead didn't make the right choice, like she selected herself but in a manly copy. And believe me, on the long run, that's not a good thing to do. Certainly, I "wasn't" with (Lucy) in this!

PS: If you're thinking like me that (Lucy) made the wrong choice, please E-mail me.
