This offbeat comedy takes a little bit to get rolling. The beginning feels like a low-brow version of 'my name is Earl'. As the movie goes, it gains momentum... Will Arnet(Beiderman) comes to Dax Shepards rescue and makes it an effective duo. Serious prison situations are spun into clever comedy acts and, if you can make it to the middle of the film, you'll be in for the long haul. Towards the end you'll be rooting for both characters.... THis isn't a GREAT movie...but it isn't a BAD movie either. I really enjoyed the last half hour. Clever ending and light-hearted finish to what I expected to be an overly crude and uninventive film. I'm glad I didn't give up on this one... if you get that feeling... give it a second chance... or should I say glance? 62/100
