"H3 - Halloween Horror Hostel" is a cheap TV parody on "Halloween", "Saw", "Friday 13th", "Hostel" etc. - also a quick reference to "The Ring" was made along the way. I said "cheap" meaning both "low budget" as well as "no serious effort made". A few good jokes and a lot of lame ones, but at the length of just 70 minutes still easy to sit through. The best line is when the owner of the hostel returns: "He was a serial killer! We're damn lucky he is turned into a zombie now!" Out of the frying pan, into the fire! The joke with both arms cut off ("oh, just a little flesh wound, never mind") goes back to Monty Python's brave knight, of course. So, very little new to see, just a quick rehash of familiar blueprints to fill an hour and a half (including advertising breaks) in the late night program. Check this out if you think Fred Olen Ray doesn't make good movies.
