Bloodsport. Oh the childhood memories of watching a bunch of dudes beating the absolute crap out of each other. Yeah, the story's a no-brainer; its the eighties after all and these films didn't have a deep plot to begin with which is acceptable. Back in those days, the fight scenes were much better compared nowadays with all the hyper-edited, attention deficit disorder fight scenes that todays movies have. It's a shame that most directors don't sit up and take notice of these past films and turn up much better product on their part. Can't say anymore about this film but its fight scenes are great despite being a little annoyed at seeing Van Damme doing the same kick over and over again. Good lord, is that his signature move? Shouldn't matter because it's made so long ago. And Forest Whitaker is in it!! It's a solid flick just to kick back to.
