WARNING: Do Not Watch This on an Empty Stomach
21 May 2008
This is one of my favorite shows Rick Sebak has come out with.

It's great seeing the hot dog stands across the country, and hearing people's stories of the place, such as Pink's in Hollywood, with Ruth Buzzi talking about going there and "sneaking food", to who "Mory" and "Florie" are in Chicago, Gray's Papaya, which has been featured in a movies, as well as TV and Nathan's in New York City. It makes me want to go to those places and I liked seeing Nathan's annual Fourth of July Hot Dog eating contest.

In addition, I enjoyed seeing all the hot dog variations; From the slaw dog to the Chicago Dog, the Chilli dog, the origins of a corn dog and a hot dog where the wiener is deep fried. I haven't tried the latter, but after seeing a Chicago dog, it made me want to try one. I managed to find a place in Seattle that makes it and it was delicious. Now I need to go to Chicago and go for the real thing.

Word of warning though. If you watch this show on an empty stomach, you will get a craving for a hot dog or two. You may not be hungry and you may want one anyway.
