Okay, so at first, I felt that this movie was moving a bit slow for my taste but, after viewing the whole film, I know why the director took a slow approach at first and then took us on a soul searching journey w/ Benji, the films' main character. Benji, played by Edoardo Bellini,is a total jerk but, due to various circumstances, you slowly see him change into a human being. What I love about Edoardo is that you can't take your eyes off of him when he's on screen. He has a great presence about him as does Fairuza Balk, who's also in the film. Why Mr. Bellini is not a bigger star, baffles the mind because he could easily be in line to dethrone Brad Pitt, in my opinion!

This film takes a great look at how ones' life can change in a moments notice, as is the case when his mother has a stroke. Definitely something that many people can relate to in regard to taking care of a parent when they become ill and all the red tape one must go through in regard to securing the best medical care you can get and afford. It does a great job of showing "Benji" finally grow up and turn into a swan, after being an "ugly duckling of a human being" for so long.

Great film. Beautifully shot. Draws you in. Go see it!
